We started watching the third episode, and my wife says "Probably be easier just to kill it"

My only criticisms: So far the characters are pretty thin, but that can develop with time. Secondly, too many comments like "you're a dick" instead of humour.

Plot holes abound, but still entertaining.

The writing on that episode was kinda terrible with the Avis jokes.

I actually think they are too easy with the 21st century reference humor, in the 23rd century. But, we wouldn't get 22nd century pop-culture references, so I forgive it.
Makes me wonder if Avis is a sponsor and paid money to have their brand in the show, and this is what Seth did with it.... which would be funny, too.

Yes... and it's 25th century, not 23rd. But still. Even outside of the Avis jokes, the writing feels sloppy.

I haven't watched that Krill one yet, but this show, more than anything else I've seen, makes me feel like I'm watching an episode of ST:TNG.
I consider that to be a good thing.

The "Krill" episode went to a place even ST:TNG never dared to.

Yeah, TNG never had much to say about killing a ton of people, iirc.

Sucks. Have you written ASM to explain how you'd like them to fornicate themselves?

Good news: Ratings are good and as Gordon reported, there will be a second season.
Bad news:
We're only getting 12 episodes this season.

I am starting to think that any show with a 20+ ep season is going to have too many dumb filler episodes.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that, but I do think it should be measured on a show by show basis.
Anyway, they were supposed to get 13, but they're saving the 13th for next season.
