It doesn't hurt that I love that movie and watched it again just this past spring.

I agree. I laughed my ass off, and it was so well shot. It wasn't just a camera off to the side. They did deliberate approach shots and framing shots. Stuff you NEVER see in a comedy skit. It was beautiful and hilarious.

I'm only 3-4 episodes in, but I also quite enjoyed the skits Gordon mentioned not liking. I don't think she's angry at all. I think she's poking fun at stuff from a different perspective because she's a woman.

Watch some of the female stand up specials on Netflix and you'll see some genuine man hating. I watched one recently that was uncomfortable because she was clearly bitter and not funny. Based on the audience, it wasn't just me who felt that way.

I went and looked: Jen Kirkman: I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine). Go watch that and compare it to Schumer's humor.

She had that woman back late in the season, the fat ugly one who shoves her crotch in audience men's faces while she sings. As soon as I saw her I stopped and deleted the recording. I find that woman repulsive.

I know who you mean. I found her unamusing when she was on that Jonah & Kumail show recently.

Next time she comes near your town ... I wonder if she does house calls by request. There's a fairly good chance I can have a chat with her when she comes around here again.

I agree that woman is not funny at all.

Included in plus size mag issue.
Schumer recently talked about her size in her acceptance speech at the 2015 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in June.

"I'm probably like 160 lbs. right now, and I can catch a d--- whenever I want. It's not a problem. It's not a problem," she said to cheers from the audience.

You'll note that's not a particularly difficult feat for someone with a major motion picture and TV show to their name.

Black guys love fat white girls. Another reason it isn't a big accomplishment.

I still think her head is going pretty far up her own ass.

Things we want to say on Facebook, but can't.

When she came to town before maybe 2 years ago, I could've gotten in for free, hung around the bar afterwards, and told her which restaurants in the local neighbourhood sucked (which is what she asked the bar staff anyhow). That was a venue that could hold a few hundred people. She's playing Target Center now (where the semi-pro Timberwolves play). Tix are $50 each. VIP is $250.
I still think her heading is going pretty far up her own ass.

That started as soon as she went off about the dude shooting up the Trainwreck theatre being anti-feminist or something. I firmly believe that her hanging out with the A-list celebs corrupted her brain.

In the Jennifer Lawrence thread, Gordo was saying the first two episodes this season (her third?) sucked.

The first episode was ok. The second was an infomercial for her anti-gun political beliefs.

Meanwhile, Schumer will not longer take photos with fans. Why? One fan spooked her with his behavior.

So you're punishing everyone based on the actions of one person? I think when you compare this line of behavior with her political beliefs, things become pretty clear.

Not only that, "his side" came out, with a video of the whole thing, and it makes her look like a cunt.

I don't think that behavior's restricted to any single side of the political spectrum. For instance, and not to spill over from another thread, but one of the arguments against trannies in the ladies' room is the fear of a few perverts.

In this case, it at least smacks of a personal issue. If she wants to reject her fans, it's her career to tank, and her response isn't really that much different in character from GORDO's when the creepy fat flasher comes on her show. Just more extreme.

Not as extreme as Chappelle's, though.

I can forgive creepy fat flashers, but not unfunny ones.

The latest season is providing noticeably fewer laughs than the previous one. I'm through 4, I think, and there are perhaps 2-3 watchable sequences across them all. The rest are simply DOA. The dance studio thing with the "Hamilton" dude was the fucking worst. That was "Tim and Eric Awesome Show" bad. Anyhow, she's got some scenes from her standup that occasionally transition between the skits. One had her addressing the shooting that happened during Trainwreck and it drove me up a fucking wall.

She starts off about how she's not a fan of actors when they get political. Then she explains how she completely violated that rule in this instance and why. Something about seeing the faces and names of the victims on pins and t-shirts and shit. Then having their families ask for PR help from her because "people listen to you guys more than us" and she didn't have the emotional fortitude to turn them down. Honestly? Fuck that attitude and those who believe it. It's no better than replacing saints and holy books with celebrities and their social media accounts. How many bajillion gun control PACs are there in the country? Hundreds? Thousands? Are you trying to tell me that the silence of famous people is what's holding them back? I get you just lost a son or daughter or whatever, but it doesn't mean I'm behind your plan to drown in helpless self-pity. Stop dragging in surrogates and expecting them to be your salvation. Why prompts this?

This is what happens when you listen to whores of that nature.
Almost every food or drink a music celebrity endorses and promotes through commercials and advertisements is unhealthy, according to a new study from NYU researchers. That’s a shame, the study authors argue, since most of the stars promoting these products—from One Direction to Beyoncé—are popular among kids and teens.
...
The study is the first to show how many music celebrities are involved in food advertising. “Which is important because some of these contracts are worth millions of dollars, suggesting that food companies really get a lot of value out of them,” says Bragg. For example, the researchers note that in 2012, Beyoncé signed an estimated $50 million endorsement deal with Pepsi, and Justin Timberlake received an estimated $6 million for his role in the McDonald’s “I’m lovin’ it” jingle.
This is the demographic you expect to bring you the truth? You're shitting me. Amy Schumer is in an ad campaign for Bud Light. I'll bet every penny I have right now that beer has a higher body count than guns on a daily basis. Let's fucking see.

Here's the URL for the gun control group Amy spotlighted on her show. 91 people per day on average die by shooting in this country. Let's see what the CDC says about booze.
Drinking too much can harm your health. Excessive alcohol use led to approximately 88,000 deaths ... each year in the United States from 2006 – 2010
88K / 365 ~= 241. It seems Amy's more than happy not to speak out against the liquor industry. Hell, she's signing on and endorsing it.

You are correct.

Guy(s) makes a good argument over at the Pearl Jam forum.

If we're trying to ban all guns, which DO have legit purposes, then we certainly shouldn't have ANY reason to not ban alcohol, which has no needed purpose (aside from allowing ugly people to procreate).

The replies from the Pearl Jam site are, to spin a pun, killing me.
guns were designed to kill.
Yes, you're goddamn right. That's their job because sometimes motherfuckers have to die. If I wanted to piss someone off, I'd play Celine Dion. That's her job. If we're talking about things designed to kill, I guess explosives (TNT was invented by Alfie Nobel as a "weapon to end all wars"), knives, and crossbows are off the list, too.
alcohol is a natural occuring substance resulting from fermentation used as an intoxicant.
Because nature is a more forgiving chemist than man.
if alcohol was illegal people would make their own.
Inmates have made their own guns capable of firing multiple various calibre rounds.
people are not capable of mass producing and selling their own guns.
3-D printing. Eat it, bitch.

Just today she fired one of her writers for joking about rape... or... defending someone who joked about rape? That was enough for me to take her off my DVR. Fuck that unfunny bitch. Her head disappeared up her own ass.

The article clearly states she didn't fire him. She has no writers as her show is on hiatus and she's on tour.

She just said she was disappointed, which I don't respect her for as all the guy was saying is maybe we shouldn't always take the accuser's word as gospel.
