The Witcher
The Witcher
Started the books. Good, and different in a few ways to the show, like GoT
First book still has the scene with Geralt bringing a dead monster into Blaviken hoping someone will pay for it. On consideration, It’s very meta open world game commentary. Encountering the monster and lair before you even get a icon on your quest log. Only in the games you can always find the quest giver eventually. Geralt never does, no reward, just more quests.

The more I think about this show, the more I like it.
"Happy slaves are the worst enemies of freedom." - Marie Von Ebner
"It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies..." - Orwell

I'll def watch Season 2, and I don't say that about every show I watch.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
The Witcher
I still dont know when is when, but in episode 3 they show that one timeline is when King Foltest is an adult and another is when he was a kid.
It's not me, it's someone else.
The Witcher
I was very confused with the wedding hall like "weren't we just here in ep 1? But wait, that's a different blonde girl, right?" OOoohhhhh
It's not me, it's someone else.
The Witcher
It was the warrior queen in two decades that I figured it out.

The Witcher
I'm on to book two, and my full shipment of books came in this weekend.
Book 2 notes that that Witchers cause magicians/wizards to have a tingly, pleasant, physical reaction when they touch each other. Basically, Geralt is a giant magical walking dildo. Makes you think. Not sure what, but makes you think for sure.

Why can't everyone be magical walking dildos?
Also kind reminds me of the fairies in True Blood.
It's not me, it's someone else.
The Witcher
Overall I enjoyed the journey, but I feel like we didn't get the destination.

The Witcher
They made me laugh at The Witcher's dialogue from the show.
