It's more the "main dude that says reboot the server." Normally, it's in case something blows up after hours. This particular night, we've got an app + DB deploy to the prod environment.

So does that mean we're playing BL2 tonight or LoL?

I'd make an attempt at BL2. Nothing ought to go wrong and my shit should be done around 6pm CST. I might have to keep one ear near a phone. That's about it, I'd hope.

Things are currently looking good. Just babysitting some long-running SQL scripts. All the changes done by server support (where fuck ups usually occur) went fine, so I don't have to do anything but alt-tab into the remote desktop and glance at it occasionally.

Cakedaddy is suck for not showing up tonight;
Was probably out practicing for the LoL tourneys he's always worried not having enough people for. Maybe out recruiting.

I know I hit two triple legs in a row once, that's approximately the odds of hitting triple logos.

Interesting things I've learned about elements from the wiki...
1) Torgue always has explosive damage.
2) Explosive is the all-purpose "I need to kill things" element.
3) Slagged enemies take double damage. G needs a slag snipey, especially for badasses. Slag, phaselock, kill.
4) Electricity destroys shields. If G has a fully charged amp shield with a nice electric snipey, he could probably take out any enemy shield we encounter with a single mag.
5) Corrosive eats through robots. Fire eats through flesh.
What those markers on the right side of your inventory items means (the red "x" and the yellow star)...
Yellow star: Marks item as favourite. Just makes it easier for you to spot it from among all your other items. Useful if you want to distinguish useful weapons from unsorted loot. It has no functional value.
Red x: Marks item as trash. When you are on the shop screen, you can hit delete to "sell trash." Anything marked as such is sold all at once.
Why you technically have infinite bank storage...
In Sanctuary's in the Crimson Raider HQ, every character has a bank. Starts out with 2 slots, you can buy black market SDUs to bump it to 16, I think. Every account has access to the Stash in Sanctuary, which has a permanent 4 slots to let you transfer items between characters. Want more bank space?
Start a new character, get him to Sanctuary. This isn't exactly trivial. Even more annoying, bank upgrades are purchased with eridium. You can't buy that shit anywhere nor transfer it using the Stash. If you really wanted to farm storage mules, you'd have a low-level character host a game with two other lows plus one high to escort them through to Sanctuary. That still doesn't solve the eridium problem. I guess enough gambling at Moxxi's using the same low host/high escort cheat might, with enough time and cash.
Slot machine estimates...
full bank upgrades: 4 + 8 + 12 + 16 + 20 = 60 eridium per character
chances of getting at least 4 eridium from a Moxxi slot machine: 3.6%
about...
75% of that 3.6% is 4 eridium
20% of that 3.6% is 8 eridium
5% of that 3.6% is 12 eridium
If you want to be safe, you'd take the low end, multiply it by 1.25 - 1.5 (or 2.0 if you're really thinking the machine cheats) to get 625 - 750 pulls to get enough eridium to max out a bank.
Note that slot machine pull cost depends on host's max level and story progress, but if you're around level 10, it's about $120, I believe. Take 750*120 = 90K cash needed to max out a bank per character.

Then the night we were hitting eridium left and right was a fluke...
Stranger and I will be playing tonight, but 10-11ish. My wife wants to watch LoTR...sexy right?
I'm going to host because he's too high in level, and my mechromancer hasn't even made it to sanctuary (NO SPOILERS!!!)
If anyone is on that late, you'll probably be welcome to join us.
Although, if Cake and Gordo are on and Malcolm isn't, I'll probably recommend we play LoL.
Oh, and in 15 minutes of jumping into Stranger's game last night (he's where we are in the story), I saw a sniper rifle that does 575 damage and was a slag elemental weapon.

Like I said, this is ~22K spins. A good sample size for this sort of thing requires millions, if not billions, of points. I don't know if the odds are constant, seeded randomly based on (host + characters) or just host or whatever combination of factors. Gearbox could have put in more than one distribution. Triple logos has a 1 in 5000 chance, according that that no doubt inaccurate pie chart. For reference, the odds of getting a royal flush during a game of five card draw are in the 1 in 42000 range. After the double triple leg, I got a triple marcus, which is .0146^2 * 0.0018 = about a 1 in 2.5 million shot. Fuck, the odds could adjust based on how often you play.

I got a siren I could throw in.
