In Elon's defense there, he and Twitter (at the time), very publicly, waged a war against bots when he first took over. That was when many big accounts, I think Justin Bieber was one?, lost millions of followers overnight as bot accounts were eliminated. Point being, there were no protections against bots in the first place.

This is where Gordon will chime in with "one ID" or whatever.

And truthfully, the only way you ever make social media halfway credible is to eliminate anonymity across the board.
