I didn't know David Tenant was a fan of the series before he took the part. Pretty nifty. It does partly explain why he's so very good at the role.

David Tenant is probably the best Doctor I've seen since Tom Baker.

I've come to like him more than Baker. He's got the same charm, and a wider range of acting ability.

Yeah, but Baker had the scarf. & the hair. There was something about that which gave him a mad scientist sort of vibe.
