Share, and yeah, why not?

Sometimes you just want to be heard, even if you know it'll amount to nothing.

Best case scenario: My points get the attention of someone with more shares. My strategy would be to attack their current strategies and how it's costing shareholders money.

An article on the Creator's Update.

I love this article for the first paragraph.
One of the key reasons Appleā€™s (AAPL) Mac became so popular was that, in addition to its good looks and powerful performance, it catered to creative types. And in creative circles, consumers still think of Apple as the go-to computer.
Holy shit is that misleading.

I personally know of one lifelong fanboi of apple in my circle. That minority collapsed like a house of cards when Jobs died.

I just love how someone without knowledge would read that paragraph and think Apple was dominating Windows. Apple's largest market share ever was something like 13%. That's not dominating. That's barely competing.

MS going after creator types is probably because they're sick of seeing Apples in every movie. The theory that Apples were better for movies and music died in the 2000s.

I think there once was truth to Apple being a better platform for doing art and creative stuff. That eventually morphed into "Apple just works". And there was a lot of truth in that. Apple users didn't need to be as tech oriented and often the artistic types really weren't. But the up and coming are more tech oriented, and MS products are a lot more noob friendly than they used to be.

Last weekend my network discovery went disabled and I couldn't get it turned back on. Internet worked. Could reach other devices via TCP/IP, but couldn't get network discovery turned back on (thus no devices when I went to look in "Network" in file explorer). All needed services were up and talking. Turned out it was corruption with Windows Defender. Weird thing was that even disabling it didn't resolve the problem. Found found a utility to fix Defender and it worked like a charm.

Just FYI.

I installed it on my home machine because my new one arrives tomorrow or Monday, and I see no ads...?

I will say that MS needs to stop turning OneDrive on every time my PC updates. Fuck OneDrive. If I want to use your cloud bullshit, I'll seek it out. Stop trying to steal my files and photos.

Maybe I'll see them later?

I do have everything turned off, so maybe that stopped them?

Hey wow now I get to bitch with first-hand knowledge of Win10.

I like how in initial setup I get to turn off all the "targeted notification" options... and it straight-up said that I won't see any fewer ads, they just wont be as relevant to what I want based on my PC activities.

Also I can't get Win10 to launch my MOBO drivers CD because it says the source isn't trusted.

Trying to figure out where that setting is. Sigh.

I never use CD/DVDs for drivers. I always go and download the latest ones.
