And G, you have ALL of Firefly, there was only part of the first season before they got cancelled.
I was wondering about that.
14 episodes?

Yeah, Fox dicked around with Firefly's time slot and cancelled it half-season as they are apt to do. If they would have left it prime-time, it would have been an absolute hit.

Plus the weakest episode in the entire series is the first regular eposide. They never played the two-part pilot, which is really good, and instead started with the weaker one for a first showing, and a lot of people didn't give it a second chance until it was out on DVD.

Yup, and they played them out of order. If you look on the package, they list when/if they were aired. It's crazy how they did it, if you watch it in order, it's easy and nice to follow.

Heh, I put Homeworld 1, 1.5, and 2 first in line on my "next to play" list.
I think 1 had the best story, followed closely bu 1.5. 2 was... somewhat... weak.

It did, but I have problems going back to the original in terms of graphics.
I really only like the newest and greatest versions, tis a weakness of mine.
My list to play at the moment:
Dawn of War... Expansion(If you haven't picked up a copy, do so, best RTS of 2005)
Rome... Total war.... Expansion
Age of Empires 3
Wayyy on the Horizon.
Empire at War,
Galactic Civs 2

I saw Empire Earth 2 in the stre the other day. Might pick that up eventually.
Same with AOE3. They got everything perfect in AOE2... except the queuing system.

All in all, thumbs-up. Glad I finally had a chance to get into the series. There's gonna be a season 2, right?
Um, you've already missed the first two episdoes of season 2, GORDON.

Anyway, back on track... which episode aired tonight? I didn't see it on TV, but episodes 3 & 4 are already available on torrent sites. They called the season premier 2-parter episodes 1 & 2.

Episode eight, one of the best so far, they built a new ship! (not really a spoiler)
The spoiler (SPOILER)
at the end of the this episode they basically said that as a complete change of pace, Next episode will be comflict against another battlestar!
The only episode I haven't seen was the very first one, which pisses me off because it had the most space battles!
I guess they may have showed more ships in this episode though.

I just invented the word "comflict" since the edit function doesn't work, deal.

Because she's so disrespectful of authority, up to and including decking the XO over a card game.
Maybe I'll check this shit out when the seasons hit Netflix.
But, still, my doubts remain solid.
Speaking of femme Starbuck's attitude...
*minor spoiler follows, if you haven't seen up to S2, Ep4.*
Just saw episode 4. Starbuck and a shipmate are on a cylon occupied planet. Cylons can look human now, so some sort of sports team that was training in the mountains when the cylons attacked have been making resistance raids on the cylons and when theyt see Starbuck and friend they figure them to be cylons... after a running gunfight, a serious mexican standoff ensues with everyone pointing guns in everyone else's face.
Starbuck recognizes the sports team because they're famous or something, and they're all saying "you're cylon! No, you're cylon!" Starbuck asks the cap'n of the team some obsure sports fact about a game they played... after some banter, an adequate answer is given... and on the count of 3, everyone lowers their guns.
First thing Starbuck says to the cap'n of that team is, "You guys know you suck, right? Can't shoot, can't pass."
Made me laugh.
They need to get starbuck back on the galactica. I don't like that particular storyline.
*end minor spoiler*

The spoiler (SPOILER)
The One I had labaeled as episode 8 was the one with the reporter making the "Life of Galactica" video. Was there a 2-parter you aren't counting?

Isn't that the same one? Or am I getting the last two confused?
If it's not the same, then you are only one episode behind, GORDON.
... no wonder I thought we'd only had three, I can't seem to keep them seperate in my head. It all blurs together into one big story. Huh.

I have episode 9 to watch tonight... then I'm contemplating an all-night Firefly marathon.

OOoo ... I envy you that one, GORDON.
I remember my first time ... *sigh* Such good memories.

OK, episode 9 was the new ship.
Another hint that they like Homeworld: the incoming cylon fleet fighters were set up in the classic Homeworld X-Formation. I believe the hotkey for that formation was "F9." heheeh
All caught up, now,
So what night of the week for the next episode, then? Fridays? And I assume they repeat it through the week?
