Actually, you couldn't have missed the target more. The guy who hits the puppy is more dangerous, because he is obviously deranged. That used to be our first impression of Han Solo. Now not so much.

Deranged? Han Solo? I don't think so.

Han was confident, brash, and charismatic. He was essentially a pirate with honor. Han wouldn't kick a puppy. If he would, then explain his man love towards a walking carpet and the Ewoks.

He was a big pussy.

He was a big pussy that liked to think he was a puppy-kicker, which was demonstrated when he shot Greedo first ... er, I mean, when he shot back at ... hold on, I mean when they both at the same ... he ... er ...

aw, fuck it.

Do I like Han shooting first? Yes, its the original, of course I did. Plus, it adds to Han's character and he's a central figure so that's important. However, it did make Greedo look stupid. How fucking dumb would a bounty hunter have to be to not know that that could happen?
Well, not that I disagree with your argument from a logical standpoint, but he'd have to be a pretty sorry-assed bounty hunter to completely miss his mark from across the table.

I always thought that was rather lame. I figured he was just some little weasel-shit alien thinking he'd score easy points with Jabba. Not a bad ass bounty hunter.

Yeah, I thought about that. I'm sure it could be explained.

The problem is that he was a bounty hunter. They sit and talk about Jabba and why he was after Han.

The more I ponder Han and all of his victories and failures in the series, the more I realize how poorly his character was written.

The fact that Greedo, given what he new about Han and Jaba and the situation and knowing that he had no reason at all to bring back Han alive, sat to talk with Han at all proves he was a crappy bounty hunter.

All edited. Did you get the theme. I didn't quite see it the first viewing on some of them either cause I wasn't sure what to look for.

Yep, they were all edited so the "bad guys" shoot first.

Was thinking about this the last couple days, with Lucas being all over the television.

He rereleased the movies in '97, with added scenes and improved FX. The technology didn't exist in the 70's. Fine, I'll buy that for a dollar. "These are the movies I wanted to release then."

The Han/Greedo scene had nothing to do with special effects. The fucker got pussified and changed his mind.

Seriously, screw that.

I hope someday we can resurrect Picasso and tell him it's cool when he decides to retouch Starry Night because it isn't really the painting he wanted to release. You know, as long as we're shitting on culturally cherished art.

I'm still laughing at it. I wish it was larger so I could use it as wallpaper.

It's just subtle enough.
Obi's expression says a lot, and knowing the timeframe of the picture (before they knew they were siblings) makes is teh funny!

Definately my favorite as well. I laughed for a few minutes straight at that one.... good thing I work alone in the server room.
