What's the problem? Besides movie theater owners, who gives a crap about how movies do in the theaters?
The movie makers sure aren't hurting from it, with DVD sales still going up.

I just read that "Passion of the Christ" pulled in just under a billion dollars in theaters and DVD sales.
That's some cheese.

No, I don't think that'll completely happen. It might go to home theatre faster. I've seen some places that have a movie screen in a pub setting. That makes for a fun night. Kinda like an indoor drive-in.

Maybe they enforce courtesy. I've heard some theatres in Europe jam cell phones.
