I honestly have no idea about punishment.

At the time, the big joke around the station is that our ratings were so low, nobody saw it anyway.

Another joke was the fact that the women in the control room had no clue what they were looking at because they don't ever see it from that angle.

The lady lost her job, but I honestly don't know if a single complaint was filed. I posted the clip on YouTube. Not sure if it's still there.

I'm not in that world, but I had been under the impression that photo/video/art programs were written for the Mac first and then PC. So the Mac always had the best/latest/most solid versions.

That was true a decade ago, but about five years ago the balance tipped. The older big names are still focused on Mac but the independents have passed them by, and they're all working on PCs. If you are looking for the same old stuff used back then freshened up with a new layer of paint, get a Mac. If you want the best modern software available for video, sound, and art, get a PC.

Disclaimer: I don't have personal experience in this area but I watch a lot of the most prolific and skilled sfx & music youtubers who like to talk about what they use to do what they do, and 90% of them are on PCs and have said something similar to the paragraph above.
