At the risk of sounding insulting or condicending or something. . . My only contribution to 'talking you out of it would be':
Dude. It's a smart car.

I had a car that looked like that once....
It was made by Matchbox.
But seriously, nice car.

It's okay, I don't mind.
Just remember, big car = small dick ... you do the math.

Smart car tipping is a growing problem in parts of Europe.
Except Amsterdam. There they've been picking them up and tossing them in the canals.
There's a reason I elected for a very small deductible on my comprehensive coverage. Just in case.
Collision, though, I have a big deductible. I figure I wouldn't survive anyway and wouldn't need to worry about it.

Or big scary guard dog tied to the bumper!

Exactly. I think a medium-large dog could drag it off.

TPRJones wrote:But I so want one. I can afford it. But I certainly don't need it, I've only got 58,000 miles on my paid-off 2002 Hyundai. It seems so silly to go buy a new car when I've got one that's perfectly serviceable.
Drive the Hyundai til the wheels fall off. By then the new smart cars will make this one look dumb.
In any case everyone I talk to has gotten pimped on trading cars in. Better off selling it outright if you must.

Yeah, I kept the Hyundai, 'cause they only offered $1200. I may keep it for a couple of weeks, and then decide what to do with it. Maybe private sale, maybe just find someone worthy who needs it and give it to them. No telling yet.

From the top ofthe world's tallest monument column my car doesn't look so tiny. Well, it does, but no more so than any other car would.

I always thought the Washington Monument was tallest. And Perry's Monument was second tallest.
Someone, somewhere told me that.
