Texas is pretty butt hurt over some LGBTQ+ (did I get the letters in the right order?) books in their schools.

Call me crazy, but LGBTQ+ people exist, and they exist in schools. You can pretend they don't, but that doesn't make it reality. Don't they deserve representation and to read books with characters they relate to?

Now that being said, perhaps they're right about this book...

I'm torn on that. Pretending high school kids aren't doing such things is ridiculous, but maybe it could be more implied in the book rather than "See this guy's dick in this other guy's mouth"?

So if an image of a blowjob from the guy's perspective who is being blown isn't porn, what is porn? I always thought penetration was the line. There is clear and defined penetration in that image. Sure, it's drawn, but there have always been cartoons that are considered porn.

So, to me, porn is about sexual gratification. I found nothing sexy about this book. It was more like looking up labia in the encyclopedia.

Eh, this is so subjective. I think it's penetration based on laws about what can be shown on TV and in movies. I'm sure religious people think porn is any image showing skin above the ankle or below the chin.

I just think high school is a time when kids should be nearly unfiltered to the world, so they can get ready while parents are hopefully still around to help.

Agree 100%, but I'm not sure that means watching porn with them.
