Some kind of monsters in the sky that rip cables out of the plane's wing.

This thread sucks for a guy who finally had his plane board but then have to go back to the gate for a mechanical issue. Balls.

“ uhhhh... hi folks”

“ the problem is that there is a big yellow light that blinks in my eye and I can’t extinguish it “

“ so we’ve called maintenance - who are contracted out and across the airport - to come fix it “

“ again, not super serious, but it’s a bright light in my face that will make it dangerous for me to fly at night “

“Uhhhhh thanks folks”

Well, that's a new one.

Admittedly, it popped in my head cuz I flew up to Boston today.

I can't say that most successful people are lucky. Because I don't know them. But I can say my success was by far mostly based on luck. There were about 5 major events that took place in a very short period of time that led to me having a 'successful' business. Well, 15 years and counting anyway. I'm no Elon Musk, but, I would argue that I'm farther than I would be had I stayed in corporate America.

I wouldn't be where I'm at if my job, at the time, hadn't decided to downsize. I was let go for making too much money and now make somewhere around triple what I was making there.

But all of you made sure you were employable and in a position to take advantage of opportunities presented to you.

I started working in college cuz I did too many drugs one night and ended up in the ER, and had to pay the bill myself to hide it from my parents. The job was nothing special, but I wrote some software on my own to automate their data processes which were manual, despite being computer based. That then got me my first computer job, and so on.

But I only knew to write that code in college because I was born into a family where my dad was into computers, and had them around when I was a kid to show me how to do that.

I was arrested when I was 15 by the SBI, but too young to be prosecuted, and my family could afford a lawyer, so I got probation and did community service. I even went to scared straight with a bunch of juvies from the 'wrong side of town'

It might be. A lot of my foundation was. I went to a fancy school 7th grade and beyond, too.

For the record, nothing bad happened to me from the drugs, I just freaked out and thought I was having a heart attack. I was fine.
