Ha! Go to Vegas sometime, then bitch about Disney prices. Vegas more than doubles that price.
Bottled water isn't loosening your wallet :-)

Ah, that picture updates each day. Today (9/4) forecast goes much further west locking into Florida. Yesterday had a lot of NC landing.

Neither are the $14 mixed drinks.

It's almost like predicting the weather isn't an accurate science.

I realize he's shunned us but a special appearance hurricane report would be fun.

Nice triple post. And I'm doubting his return.

Would a special hurricane report be fun?

He has not shunned us.

As pointed out elsewhere I've chatted with him on Steam a few times lately, and if you look he hasn't unfriended any of you.

From the man himself in response to a message I sent him about our concern:
Let everyone know I'm good. There are major flood areas to my east and west and north and south, and if you've been watching the news you've almost certainly seen people being rescued from some of those areas. But I'm on just enough of a hill that my immediate vicinity is fine and dandy. Being at the intersectin of three watersheds helps, as it means if one backs up there's still two other ways for the water to go. I picked this place carefully. :)

That is weird. Was on my phone and had no troubles when I submitted.

Your jerking hand has finally developed involuntary spasms.

Death's pretty unlikely as far inland as we are... more like 'Hope the power's not out for 1-2 weeks'

Climate Activists everywhere are doing a silent fist pump... finally, after a decade of making dire predictions and being wrong every year, we have a bad hurricane season. They are also hoping for a high southerner body count, because that makes their predictions seem more impressive, and also southerners aren't really people, anyway.

That's what I think.

My in laws just spent $100K or so on a place to retire down there. It's on the Gulf side, but near the tip of the wang.

The insurance company was dicking around with them, so they're sitting with no hurricane insurance. Their fingers are crossed that Irma stays to the East.

Based on the current projections, they'll get hit by the outskirts of the storm and it'll be a Cat 4 on it's way to a Cat 3. They should get out unscathed, but what's Jose doing down there?
