I watched that final bit again, and corrected the above quote to be closer to reality.
Is there a 4th season done, already?

A recurring villain, fugitive Timelord the various other incarnations of the Doctor have had to fight. If the Doctor is Holmes, the Master is Moriarty.

That's right around the point in the series I started not being able to keep up w\ the episodes. The version they put in the new series seems tame compared to the past versions.

Yes, and also a fifth (although the fifth just finished this June so is probably not on DVD yet).
NOTE: Wikipedia links are spoilery if you read past the intro paragraphs.

Yes, I avoid wikipedia stuff. Didn't even look up "The Master" for that reason.

Season 3: I like these Sontarans. Their pure love of battle reminds me of Marines.

I remember the first time I watched the series.
Dr. Who is great.
The first season was good, but David Tennant just nailed the role.
This new actor... eh... I was really skeptical that the Doctor would be too Emo but thankfully that wasn't the case. I don't hate the guy though.
The Stolen Earth / Journey's End (BBC ran them together as a two hour episode so that's what I have recorded on DVR, so the name could be different) was my favorite story, and you'll see that a lot of stuff leads to it (sort of like what you've already seen with Bad Wolf with the earlier Doctor).

...do not watch Torchwood.
To be fair, it gets better further in. There had to be some sort of major change in the writers. But oh man, early on it is insulting to watch.

Torchwood has been difficult at times, but I am almost done with season 2... I powered through it.
Just 2 seasons... right?

Three. The third is the Children of Earth mini-series (five episodes).

Does it suck? Do I watch it after Season 4 of DW?
Speaking of Dr. Who, the episode I watched last night had the Sontarans, and a good line by The Doctor regarding "Apple Store Geniuses" and how he doesn't appreciate how they redefine the word 'genius.'
Also, THE FACE OF BOE. Holy crap.

Once you get all caught up and I can talk to you without worrying about spoilers, let me know. There's some interesting thoughts about the Face of Boe.
As to Torchwood 3, I don't think it sucks. I think it's the best of it. But then I thought it was all pretty good, which seems to be contrary to other opinions.

Yeah, the Face of Boe thing is interesting.
You'll him again. He hangs out in New New York I think.
Someone else from that same episode (that The Face appeared in) shows up as well.
Gordon, don't Google "The Face of Boe" though. There are unavoidable spoilers if you do. (Some cool YouTube spoiler stuff too)

So you already saw Blink?
I loved that episode.
The next one (The Doctor's Daughter) is good, but I disliked the one after that (The Unicorn and the Wasp).
Five out of the six after that are significant.

Yep, saw Blink, and Capt Jack Harkness's former career as a model.

In the interest of full disclosure, I think I have a bit of a mancrush on John Barrowman (Cap'n Jack). This could skew my opinion a bit.

Saw the Torchwood today where Gwen walks in on Jack and Yanto having gay sex in the office.
I honestly could do with less of that... we seem to get JACK IS TOTALLY BI thrown into the show an awful lot.
