Calipari calls himself overrated as a recruiter.

Probably setting the stage now that he can't pay kids at the moment.

In other news, the Buckeyes gave Samford their first loss of the year and are now ranked. I've gone from being excited to thinking they're overrated. Ha!

Mighty Samford of the Southern League! To be fair, they did win 10 games last year... so they, uh, aren't the worst team in the universe.

They were 5-0!

Buckeyes at #23 seems high for such an inexperienced team. That upcoming Syracuse game should show them where they're at. I expect a loss, but hopefully they keep it close.

Well, VIllanova was preseason top 5 or something... and they're not ranked any more, so you never know.

Sigh. Maybe my teams shouldn't play on holidays any more.

Texas? I had to go look it up. Didn't even know there was college hoops today. They had to be looking ahead to TTUN.

MSU/UCLA on the other side, not UM.

I could have sworn you had TTUN in the ACC/Big Ten challenge.

You get MSU early when Izzo is half-assing his coaching to motivate his players.

Oh right, yeah, that's next week. Tonight would have been MSU if we had won. But MSU won, we lost, so we get UCLA.

I love when ESPN + google tell me scores and stuff but they need a "STOP REMINDING ME" feature when my team loses.

Fedora fired.

I'm going to propose 5 team BCS assuming Ok and OSU win their last games. They can playoff to be 4th

Kingsbury fired too.

I don't talk trash, but yesterday was a fun day.

That 4th spot will be interesting. I don't really care. I'd love a shot at the national title, but I also don't want to get embarrassed by Bama. Clearly they need to fix this bullshit system though. I kind of hope Georgia beats Bama so the committee can reject both OSU and OU in favor of Bama. Then people will really be pissed talking about SOS, number of P5 opponents, playing DII opponents, the completely arbitrary and biased preseason rankings, etc.

End of the day, the current system doesn't allow the playoff field to be decided ON THE FIELD, and thus, it's broken.

I called it though. We get out coached year after year and I didn't see this one being any different. I know almost nothing about OSU right now, other than your opinion that they are less than good. I feel like we had a good team. Thus, we have the better team, yet, we lost. I heard an announcer say at one point that Harbaugh said they were in "play off mode". If he said that, what the fuck does that mean? We should be in "beat OSU mode". The ENTIRE SEASON should be preparation for the OSU game. I think, for the last 20 years, that's how OSU has viewed their season. Our coaches haven't taken this game seriously since Carr. They look at their season as a whole. Fuck that. Stop losing key games. I'd be happier with a 5/5 season if it meant we beat ND (when we play them), MSU, and of course OSU. Fuck this 10/2 but lost to OSU bullshit. That's why I had little hope for this game. Our coaches refuse to play OSU like they are OSU. They treat them like every other team. I don't watch any OSU games through the season (nor those of any other team), so I don't know for sure. But I bet OSU is a different team when they play UofM. I have no doubt that OSU studied UofM defense all year and that's how they knew how to score so heavily against it (so did Indiana). I saw the same UofM team I saw all year long. When you are as predictable as our coaches are. . . you're going to lose.

That is indeed exactly how Tressel and Urban approach The Game.
Cakedaddy wrote: Fuck this 10/2 but lost to OSU bullshit.
Yep, that shit is why OSU fired Cooper (2-13-1 against Michigan).
Cakedaddy wrote: But I bet OSU is a different team when they play UofM.
They absolutely were yesterday. That mentality is why OSU has tight games a lot. Teams bring their A++++ games and make the OSU game their whole season. And you are 100% right, that is NOT how Harbaugh approaches it.

I've seen a lot of people calling for him to be fired, and as someone who wants Tomlin fired, I feel their pain. Sometimes winning a lot of games covers up the inability to win the big/key games.

Mack Brown back at UNC.

A 67 year old who hasn't coached in 5 years. Weird hire.
