DeSantis suggested the settlement could give Disney more of an edge to compete with neighboring Universal Orlando’s theme park, which recently announced an expansion slated to be complete next year.
2 years ago, this is exactly what DeSantis said he was fighting against. And now he’s for it.

I thought this whole thing started over Disney supporting the anti-"don't say gay" people?

it did. Then he said disneys development deal was unfair to competitors like universal, and that it needed to end

Yes. The contract that was entered into freely by two parties, at enormous benefit to FL, was deemed by FL to be unfair years later once they realized the gain, and they needed to apply political pressure.

The board at Disney faces critical votes this week.

They made up with Florida, cancelled a bunch of woke projects, sent down an edict to give spotlight back to male characters, etc. so they're on the right path back. However, they need to address the nightmare at their parks.

There aren't any examples I can think of where shareholders chose to make a premium service, over getting a few more cents in the dividend by cutting costs at the expense of quality.

I predict however the vote goes, Disney will not return to its 2000s high quality/price point.

The theme parks will remain hell, because people still go

Iger won the vote, but Disney's stock dropped on the news.

Yeah, I know, James O'Keefe. He's "not credible" because he has exposed many things that made certain entities and people upset.

However, here is he exposing Disney's illegal hiring practices. What are the odds anything comes of this? Less than zero? I'm guessing so since he also exposed a CNN producer admitting on camera that they manipulated their audience to vote for Biden and that resulted in absolutely nothing. If you remember, we were told not to believe the actual video.

Group: "Planned parenthood is literally making money off of aborted fetuses."
Left: "Bullshit. They don't do that, that's sick. You're lying and selling an agenda."
Group: "Here is PP on video admitting to making money off of aborted fetuses."
Left: "Well obviously they do that, otherwise it's a waste. Also you're going to jail for illegal surveillance."

That was one of those times I stopped believing anything the media told me.

And hemorrhaging users.

If they were charging enough to be profitable, I'd have been correct. I didn't know they'd be ok losing hundreds of millions quarter after quarter.

It'll be interesting to see what gets green lit going forward. The Acolyte has been a massive failure and I've been hearing the MCU is completely changing course. All of their woke movies have failed while Deadpool & Wolverine looks like it'll make a billion dollars. I have also heard Young Avengers, a woke version of the Avengers, has been cancelled. Hopefully, the SW folks get the same orders. Reminder: KK's contract ends this year and has not been renewed.

Disneyland workers vote to strike.

Bob Iger is doing a hell of a job.

Since he took back over, the stock's down over 50%, they've had a single profitable movie out of over a dozen, public perception of the brand has plummeted, they lost billions on the poorly thought out Star Wars experience, and now their workers are striking.

I would love someone to ask all the shareholders who voted to save him, "Are you fucking retarded?"

BTW, The Acolyte ended with the Jedi being proven to be the real villains in the Star Wars universe. So yeah...just a well run company.

Did you sign up for Disney+, even a free trial?

Then Disney gets to murder you legally...according to their attorneys.
