So, that was a lie.
It's not me, it's someone else.

Or did they change it because of the leak? :D

I think this same thing happened a few years ago.

I think you're right. It was them or something related to Steam sales.

Very interesting video.

TLDW:
-Epic's free games see their sales spike on Steam, not Epic.
-Epic's player base has grown by millions, but they're mostly doing what I do: Log in, grab the free games, and then close the launcher.
-Epic's sales have grown 1.5% in the last few years, and are declining.
-Developers make more at 70% revenue on Steam than 100% revenue on Epic.
-Epic does about $1B in sales annually. Steam did $1.6B in December...
-Epic focuses on creating their own monopoly through aggressive, sue everyone tactics and is publisher first.
-Epic is anti-Linux because that would be a win for Valve.
-Valve focuses on the player experience and champions things to make everything for players better, including expanding markets for developers.

Judge is questioning a "secret" deal between Epic and Google.
Donato seemed potentially leery of the partnership, asking Bernheim whether it could constitute a “quid pro quo” that reduced Epic’s incentive to push for terms that would benefit other developers. Currently, Epic is backing a settlement that would see Google reduce its standard app store fees worldwide and allow alternative app stores to register for easy installation on Android.
In other words, as many have said, this has never been about "fairness in the marketplace". Sweeney and Epic don't give a fuck about anyone else.

Sweeney is trying to build a monopoly and he remains human garbage.
