Trolling Congress to troll the public.
Strong support came from Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), whose son played soccer at the University of Virginia. He told The Washington Post, "Of course they should be able to organize. The way these people are treated by the NCAA and the universities themselves is really unpardonable, and I wish them well. I'll do anything I can to help."

If you fuckers can't play nice with your toys, eventually they'll take them away and the unis will stop funding sports. It won't be worth the financial pain.

Bob Knight on the NBA raping the NCAA.

So because he used the word "rape" his comments aren't valid? That piece is trolling.

That's the thing these jackasses trying to unionize college athletes aren't thinking about. Colleges don't need athletics. They do just fine without them. I could absolutely see a scenario where the colleges have already discussed a "nuclear" option where they cancel all sports for a year to make a point.

How long is the last minute of an NCAA game?

Every time the refs go to the monitor, I want to punch them.

Winston caught shoplifting.

Since he doesn't play in the SEC, I expect he'll actually be punished.

That's some good basketball coming up
The Rutgers-Clemson game is Dec. 1, when Nebraska also faces Florida State. Along with Syracuse-Michigan and Ohio State-Louisville, Pittsburgh is at Indiana, N.C. State at Purdue, Illinois at Miami, and Minnesota at Wake Forest on Dec. 2. The Dec. 3 matchups are Duke-Wisconsin, Michigan State-Notre Dame, Iowa-North Carolina, Virginia-Maryland, Georgia Tech-Northwestern and Virginia Tech-Penn State.

Damn, that's a hell of a lineup.

In football news, the Pac-12 calls out the SEC for their 8 conference game schedule.

Everyone else is doing 9, why can't the SEC? The whole system, and the body that regulates it is in their pocket, do they really need this advantage too?

I don't think the SEC should necessarily move to an 8 game format, but I do think that scheduling patsies should be reduced/banned. Maybe setup ACC/Big Ten PAC 12/SEC type of weekends to force some games to happen.

Playing fewer power conference foes gives them a competitive advantage over the other power conferences. It is unfair. It's the exact same argument SEC coaches have been making about how Alabama's schedule keeps allowing them to skip multiple tough games, while LSU, Georgia, and Florida maintain their tough rivalry games.

Meanwhile, their new policy of having to play a single non-SEC power conference opponent is a nice step in the right direction, but it's not awesome. So they'll schedule Indiana, Colorado, NC State, etc. Big deal.

They need to do what the Big Ten has done and ban Div II schools from being on their teams' schedules, in addition to the power conference foe and a 9 game SEC slate.

They makle a player and his girlfriend sign an affidavit stating that their relationship has nothing to do with him being a football player.

Meanwhile, the SEC is breaking every rule the NCAA has, and being publicly exposed for it, yet the NCAA can't seem to find any evidence.
