MI basically shut down again as stated, and I'm hearing OH gov is going to make some announcement today(?). So I expect he'll probably follow similar restrictions.

Damn, all these vaccines coming out with STRONG results. Digging this Dr. on Fox who pointed out that medical science at first thought an acceptable Covid vaccine would be around the effectiveness of the modern flu vaccine, but Pfizer/Moderna/Russian vaccines are turning out to be as strong a preventative as the measles vaccine.

Covid finna fuck around and get eradicated by modern medicine.

But I wonder if the mRNA vaccines are inherently better, or is covid just an easier target than expected? Pfizer + Moderna vaccines are both mRNA.

Just steal the blueprints from the Chinese and analyze for an unprotected exhaust port.

Sweden not a good comparison. Population density like Utah but doing a lot worse in cases/deaths than Utah.

So much is wrong to even compare this but if the US adopted the Swedish system we would - as a floor - be in their shoes right now (panicking, limiting social gatherings to 8, closing the country) and we'd have 400,000 dead. (1)

It simply is not the deadly plague that we're being forced to pretend it is. But so many people are invested in that idea that we can't stop.

Pneumonia simply isn't the flu.

I don't literally mean it's an influenza virus. I mean: it is not a super-deadly plague that warrants the reaction that has occurred. Taking just children, the death toll is less than drowning. Yes it's sad. But the craziness that has infected us is worse. If a *real* deadly plague happens, we're fucked, because people aren't going to believe it, and who can blame them?

I know. I'm just saying it's worse than the flu. Worse impact, more lethal (in terms of singular outcomes, but not dramatically worse; and in terms of mass outcomes due to lack of treatments/immunity/vaccine), more hospitalizations, more long term impact, etc. I know it's not ending life as we know it, but we do need to control it to the extent that we have the medical supplies to deal with those afflicted, imho.

Well, my mom just got breast cancer for the 3rd time, so, sigh. This one more severe than the last two.
