Huge NAME enters NBA draft.

I made "name" the key word there because all he has is papa's name.

If someone drafts him, they're trying to get dad.

Celtics-Bucks game sets a record.

The Bucks shot 2 free throws and the Celtics shot none. Only 4 fouls in the whole game.

Refs must have been asleep.

I don't know what this says about the NBA, but I do know what it says about sportsmanship and what it says about anyone involved in this sort of thing...

Cavs throw their final game to get a more favorable playoff matchup.

And their reward for winning that matchup will be the #1 East seed Boston Celtics. So, good job?

Advice that the Lakers should throw their play in game to avoid the #1 West seeded Denver Nuggets.

What's the logic here? Get an easier path to a later exit in the playoffs? If you don't have the team to win, then don't try to go as far as possible so your draft pick is better, right?

The later you wait to play the best team, the better the odds are as well that the best team will get upset first, and be out.

Fair, but it's embarrassing and has to eat at you. Plus, how do you coach that?

"Hey guys, we suck, but if we act like cowards and let other people knock off the best maybe we can backdoor our way in a championship. Then you can have that eat at your psyche for the rest of your life. Don't worry, if you forget about it, people will constantly remind you."

I wouldn't do it. I'm just saying... I dunno, I understand strategy, so I'd be OK with it, but I can see how people wouldn't want to just lose for anything.

Maybe not in a conspiracy theory way, but he's going to be someone that gets mentioned when famous sports gambling stuff gets discussed in the future.

Jontay is the 9th guy on a bad bball team. Yet the under for his performance was the most gambled prop bet for two Raptors games recently. In both games, he failed to hit the over and went out with an undisclosed illness or injury each time.

You can't get away with this shit anymore.

This video is even worse. How is this not being covered on ESPN? Why is this not a national news story?

ESPN finally carries it.
Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Beverley indicated that a video showing him throwing a ball at a spectator Thursday was misleading but later added that "I have to be better."

Cameras showed Beverley sitting on the bench and tossing a ball into the stands and hitting a fan with about 2½ minutes left in Milwaukee's 120-98 Game 6 loss at Indiana that knocked the Bucks out of the playoffs. After a different fan threw the ball back to Beverley, who was holding his arm out for it, the Bucks guard fired it back at that spectator.

Beverley declined to answer a question about it while speaking to reporters after the game. But he replied to an X post that showed the video by saying, "Not Fair at all. Exchanged between a fan and our ball club all night. We warned and asked for help all night. Not fair."
So a fan heckled you and in return you resorted to violence? Grow the fuck up.

Why? I mean, if an arrant ball goes into the stand, they toss it back out. This kid just happened to end up with the ball. The player calls for it back. He tosses it back. I mean, if he didn't toss it back, security would be going into the crowd to get it.

Toss him if he's heckling and being disruptive. But not for tossing the ball to a player.

Also, the first person Beverley hit in the side of the head was a girl.

I think Catt meant the kid tossed it back not "threw" it back. The kid didn't throw with intent to harm. Beverly did twice.

That's what I meant. I didn't like the article's use of the word "threw," to describe the fan. The fan tossed it. Beverly THREW it. and should be in jail.
