Exactly. Hollywood has ruined my trust for this stuff.

Totally off subject, but if Fox is now left, is InfoWars unbiased and in the center of the political spectrum?

Don't forget Russia Today + OAN.

I don't think Russia Today is even on the spectrum.

IF Fox News is too far left... I mean... misinformation is your bread + butter.

But their misinformation goes both ways.

Our school district is going all virtual after tomorrow thanks to a high number of positives at all grades. They will "reevaluate" Dec 4th, but with the holidays and whatnot, it's widely expected kids won't return to school physically until 2021.

Each of our kids' schools has had at least one case. Our kids are virtual, though.

Kid's school finally had a confirmed case, a staff member in the lower school. As of now our school remains hybrid.

I have two kids in quarantine. They were going in 4 days a week. The oldest went in the first day of school and hasn't been back. Most of the high school kids weren't attending.

Counselor Troi celebrates people in Texas getting the Covid. Based on her tweets, she's pretty much in the "insane left" category.

CA is also about to hit 1M... so? Although, they do have 1/3rd more people, and got hit first.

Gov talking about shutting down Ohio again, next week.
Everything suuuuucks.
Also someone market a t-shirt that says, "The mask goes on over your nose too, you fucking idiot." My usual 10% fee applies.

Well, the good news is that treatments are getting better. Fatality rate has declined pretty significantly since the March/April. Estimates of 1% have fallen to ~.2% last I saw, iirc. Granted, it's still more severe than the flu, there's little immunity, and hospitalizations are up pretty far relative to flu as well.

It amazes me how many people wear the masks like that.

The self-righteous smugness of her Tweet really irks me. I'm guessing she's one of the people who attended a "1,000 U.S. soldier killed" party as well. Who cares if people die, this supports my politics, so I'm going to celebrate!

lol.
NC hit a confirmed case record of 3k.
Pfizer's new vaccine requires like -100F degree storage. So... that could be a distribution issue. Hospitalizations are also at a record.

So what's the point of being verbally screened at the door? I get taking a temperature... it's hard to fake that. But people who already know "i don't feel well/i have a bad cough/i was exposed to a known carrier" are already staying home.... and if they don't care about spreading it, they're just going to lie to screeners. It's like when the TSA asks if you're a terrorist.... a terrorist is going to lie.
My kid's school now requires a daily screening on a phone app, asking the same questions that everyone is going to lie on. It's a waste of time. Saying "yeah but the state requires it" does not make it not a waste of time. (In Ohio the state requires it)
