I always hope those are real....

A friend of mine is an English professor in the middle of Arkansas, and while we have pretty different political beliefs, she posts some entertaining quips from her students' papers from time to time... Today she was lamenting that the people she was going to busy for plagiarism were just bad students, not malicious.

One of her professor friends responded with this:
My biggest candidate for mocking so far was a football player at VSU. When confronted with the evidence that he plagiarized, he said, "It's not my fault. My girlfriend wrote it for me."

I'll never forget peer reviewing English papers. Those people should not have graduated high school.
