GA R's are corrupt.

GA D's are painfully retarded.

Not sure which I prefer.

None of the above. It's what I've been preaching.

Nothing changes until voters send a message that they're done with the two parties.

The problem with your scenario is I don't have to pick one of them.

"I don't believe in the no-win scenario."

Are they a hot woman?

If not, whichever looks tastier if I run out of food.

Also fair ways of looking at it.

Feels like a really weird speech.

So he must be doing a memorial on Iwo?

At first I wondered why he was quoting/praising the Japanese, but that makes more sense.

US military is weird. We have our intra-service rivalries, but after it's all done we also generally respect anyone who put on a uniform and had the balls to officially declare war, and shoot at us. So, I can see this being a, "Hell, that war sucked for all of us, didn't it," speech.

R in MI introduces law to ban all porn and VPNs.

Political theater considering it has zero chance of passing and a less than zero chance of getting through the inevitable lawsuits.

And that, imho, is why, based on what we discussed in the Trump thread, he should face some punishment for proposing a law that he knows not only would fail legal challenges, but would do nothing except waste tax payer funds. Not prison time. Not for this as it's not criminal. Oh! How about the party faces the punishment? Your member proposes something this stupid, then you have to donate $10K to another party (I intentionally didn't say "the other party") . Now the parties would regulate their own members and prevent bullshit from getting into the chambers wasting everyone's time. Worth a shot?

Back to the issue, to be fair to him, I'm not saying he's wrong (and I'm only addressing the porn as the VPN point is beyond stupid):
He claims that pornography leads to societal decay, affects marriages, and is linked to human trafficking.
Studies seem to indicate he's right about affecting marriage, is linked to human trafficking, and has other negative drawbacks.

The "societal decay" claim is where things get shaky.

Where he's dead wrong is that porn exists everywhere and has since the dawn of time. Cave drawings? Tits! Paintings? Tits! First film? Tits! First photos? Tits! It's almost like we're genetically programmed to have sexual desire... On that note, I just listened to a podcast last week about a serial killer whose dad drew clothes on an album cover featuring hula girls. He thought it was pornographic.

Point being, where does the line get drawn and by whom? If the porn is made between 2 or more consenting adults, nobody has the authority or right to tell me not to watch it. However, if I'm on the bus watching it...yeah, someone can say something about that.

Then he needs to go after guns, and tobacco, and alcohol, and people dancing in the streets. JFC.

People really shouldn't dance in the streets. There's cars there.
