Doctor Who (The one that started in 2005)
One of the things that bugged me last year was when the Doctor returned Amy before her wedding and she hit on him. She did a "Who" pun because she somehow knew that people called him Doctor Who.
He goes by "The Doctor," so why would she identify him as that?
There have been other "Who" references since then.
Does anybody (other than people behind the fourth wall) refer to him as Doctor Who?

Not directly, but there have been times when it's all "I'm the Doctor." "Doctor who?" "Just the Doctor."
There's more to it than that, of course. Wikipedia goes on at length.

It was terrible! So terrible that the following spoiler is only doing you a favor:
From what I can tell the Doctor is a human who's real name is "Who" and he time travels with his ten year old granddaughter.
The Daleks took over in 2150 and used humans to mine a hole to the center of the Earth with picks and shovels, so the Daleks can drop a device into the Earth's molten core. The device uses the metal in the Earth's core to turn the Earth into a space ship and fly it to the Dalek planet.
Anybody see a flaw in this?
To defeat them, the Doctor sees a map that shows that there is an older mine shaft on the way down that goes way way out of the way. (I guess the got lost the first time and couldn't find "down.") That shaft goes to a highly magnetic part of the earth. If the device goes there it will trigger an event that will suck all of the Daleks down the hole instead of turning the world into a space ship.
So basically, the Dalek's are defeated because they fail to block that hole, and the cop that the Doctor drags back from the 1960's uses four pieces of wood to cover the hole and send the device down the magnetic tunnel.
Sigh...
I own both of the Cushing movies on DVD. Deal with it.Paul wrote:TMC ran a movie named Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.TPRJones wrote:Not directly, but there have been times when it's all "I'm the Doctor." "Doctor who?" "Just the Doctor."
