What's the joke I'm missing? The "Young Gun" line, which...wow...poor choice there.
Did he get divorced or something? I know basically nothing about him.
"Faithful to his wife"... JFK.

Out of the Republicans for 2024 I like Haley the best. I don't love her policies the most but she seems like a reasonable, intelligent, relatively pragmatic human being.

OMG. How the fuck did I miss that? I was totally focused on the DeSantis part. (Would for his wife, BTW.) That is hilarious.
And I would agree on Haley. I would have gone DeSantis pre-Disney fiasco, but he really showed his ass there.
Although, if I'm being totally honest, nobody from either party is close to earning my vote.

I'll probably end up voting D to vote against Trump but, I don't want to.

I'll probably be voting third party again. Clinton, Trump, Biden over the past several elections has not inspired me to cast a vote for any. Douchebag vs Turd Sandwich? I'll take the third option.
Perhaps this year I'll write in someone just to have that experience? Who wants my vote? Let me hear your pitches!

More than 100 Republicans voted to keep him.
Hey, I meant to ask, is Bob Menendez still a Senator?
Weird how an R gets ousted for lying about his qualifications and it's every headline in the country, but a D actually gets caught taking bribes for votes, is indicted, and it's barely discussed and he's still in office. They both suck balls, but the difference in coverage and action taken is interesting.
Let's not pretend the Ds wouldn't and haven't defended scumbags/walking corpses just to maintain seats/votes.
Listen, you have an argument with the "terrorist" label. You're discussing people intentionally living outside of the law and who terrorize their neighborhoods and the people that live within them. I don't think it should be as strong a label as folks who commit actual terrorism though.
However, you really thought it was a good idea to specify a race? How fucking dumb are you?

Just wow...
Earlier this month, Oklahoma state Rep. Justin Humphrey, a Republican, introduced HB 3133, which states, “Any person who: 1. Is of Hispanic descent living within the state of Oklahoma; 2. Is a member of a criminal street gang … and 3. Has been convicted of a gang-related offense … shall be deemed to have committed an act of terrorism.”
The bill has been met with backlash, with some critics labeling it racist.
“I am not trying to offend any race,” Humphrey told CNN. “I support the Hispanic people. I am willing to change this to improve the language – very happy to do that.
“I do want to make certain that people understand that I don’t believe I was wrong. I can absolutely respect that and say, ‘You know what, I believe I’m right,’ but I can respect your opinion and if I offended you, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you,” he added.
Humphrey said he wrote the law to target anyone engaged in gang-related criminal activities, mainly those committed by Mexican drug cartels.
He said he did not intend to target people of Hispanic descent and pushed back on allegations that he is racist.
I mean... wtf?

Maybe this guy was a huge Greg Giraldo fan?
When you hear the line, you'll know... (Hint: it's about 1:30 after the clip starts, but you need the setup.)
Why is it taking so long? Was there a police report? If so, then you should be done. If not, then interview the person and witnesses. If a case can be made, throw him out and into jail. If not, then end it. Why is this being dragged out?
Also, why do I know so much about this and know nothing about the two ethics probes AOC has faced from her party? Seems like the coverage isn't equal. Giving the MSM the benefit of the doubt, perhaps Gaetz being a potential pedo gets more clicks.
I had a post with the audio queued up yesterday, but right when I was going to post we had a power outage and my UPS failed. You can find it out there, but the transcript is right in the article.
DeWitt is resigning, but blaming Lake for it saying she is threatening him. I really don't know how you can do what you did in that tape and then play victim.
I also wonder if anyone in the MSM is investigating who was behind DeWitt's offer?

Maybe somehow they can both die be removed from the public sphere.
Party disfunction is given as a key reason, and it makes sense.
I have heard from a DC political analyst that the Ds' strategy for 2024 is to win the House. They feel like they might not be able to beat Trump, so ruling Congress would keep him in check.
