Ummmm..... got stuck on the mission getting 10 cans of dog food to the dude with the scrap yard. All of a sudden my weapons weren't doing any damage to the bad guys. So, I went back and cleaned up every mission in Firestone, and the Arid Badlands. Obviously easy because of my higher levels, but I want to be completest, and maybe get another level or 2 before I go back to the dog food hunt.
Speaking of which, I started getting loot drops of these little sparkly balls that apparently give me neat abilities like "+2 to find rare loot," and stuff like that. I can't find these things in my inventory slots once I "use" them... so what... am I swallowing them? What's going on with those things?
EDIT: What class you playing? Shall we move this to the BG thread?

Is there are BL1 thread? Sure, go there.
I am playing the chick (Siren?) because at first I thought it was a 3rd person game and I wanted to look at chick ass instead of dude ass.

I assume you aren't going to let me wait until it is on sale.
I paid full price. It's the first game I've bought for full price in years.
BL2 was the first game I ever preordered, followed a couple days after by Wasteland 2.
New class also comes out in a couple weeks. I really want to see how that's going to shakedown. D347-TP looks awesome.
That's a robot the new class can summon to kick ass for her. Skills trees aren't released yet, either. One's supposed to be the tree infamously referred to by one of the devs as the "girlfriend tree," i.e., for folks that want to play with you but suck. Another's supposed to focus on Deathtrap. Don't know about the other.

I read an interview with the developers about the new class.
They say it's a class for "non-gamers to play". It apparently makes the game easier.
Not sure how, but they indicated that this is the class to have your girlfriend play if she doesn't play games, and you want her to try.

Gaige's skill tree features player challenge level variances. This would make her both the easiest and the most difficult character to play.
Whatever the fuck that means.

Ive now made it to playthrough 2. I'm currently level 30, which seems to be about right cause the enemies at the beggining of part two start off at level 30 so i know im right on track.
I didn't finish all of the sidequests, cause there are soooo goddamn many of them and once i was about 5 levels above them i didn't see any reason to go back to them and earn hardly and xp and just get shitty guns that i would never use anyways.
I did manage to find 2 legendary gold weapons.. A level 25 rocket launcher that fires 11 shots at once and only cost one rocket to fire. Holy shit this thing does some serious damage! i suspect this weapon will be useful till about level 35 or so and then the enemies will prolly just laugh at that pussy ass shit. The second weapon is a level 31 shotgun that im not totally sure what does yet. Im not at that level. So at least i will have a couple of legendaries for the middle levels for any other characters that i create, cause you can store your weapons for your others to use.
This game is pretty damn tough, and be prepared to die alot. One of the the bosses took a group of 4 of us almost 40 minutes to kill!! do not try and fight enemies and quests that are more than 2 or 3 levels above you. We fought a badass constructor which was about 5 levels above us and basically got our asses handed to us. Constructors aren't even bosses! You will get owned!!

I hit those up right away specifically for better items.

My least favourite weapon type from BL1. The reloads on them take forever. By the time I got off a salvo, whatever I was shooting at either charged me or was firing back with something that reloaded lots faster.

I agree with rocket launchers being shitty in the first, But they are much harder hitting this time. Therefore the rocket ammo is much more scarce and pretty damn expensive to buy. But if you find a good one, they are nice for getting you out of a pinch.
And i won't comment on the boss that took that long since there are a few people on these boards that might consider it a spoiler. Not that i think it is, but somebody is really sensitive to knowing anything and i don't wanna ruin that for them.

Except in the very early going, ammo price was never an issue. I also think Salvador has a class mod which affects team ammo regeneration. Once I had that going in BL1, ammo was never an issue again.

i run Salvador and he has many ways of increasing his magazine size, ammo capacity and ammo regen. So no, i don't have any problems with running outta ammo at my level. Early game was a different story tho. I also don't have any problems with buying it, but if you are in a place that you are dying alot then you will lose your bankroll pretty fast. You just need to be at a place that has an ammo station, cause if you're out in the middle of a quest you're not gonna have much luck finding the rocket ammo.
And also, when in gunzerker mode salvador steadily regens all his ammo... except rockets!! kinda sucks but if he did then you would never need another weapon cause they are that strong.

10% off at Amazon, or so my e-mail leads me to believe. I'd bet Steam is going to have a discount on it at some point, though.

Green Man Gaming has/had it for 37.50 after discounts and coupons.
I'm going to upgrade my video card, and buy one that comes with BL2.
