Not yet. I'm waiting for a weekend with no responsibilities. I'm actually considering grabbing the next few seasons in anticipation of enjoying the show.

If you missed it, South Park did a three parter around Game of Thrones and the PS4 vs X-Box One war this season. It was hilarious.

I am changing this into a full-on spoiler thread, because there have already been a lot of posts with "minor spoilers here/don't read." So now it will be spoilery FOR THE TV SHOW. Don't do book spoilers here. This'll be our illicit water cooler to discuss our illegally obtained copies of GoT as they air.
That being said....
Stop scrolling down now. Right now.

"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
I've seen him getting a lot of love on.. somewhere.... his facebook page, or something. Peeps congratulating him on portraying such a cunt that peeps loved to hate.
Now: whodunit?
Lots of visual clues that it was the drunken jester/knight who grabbed Sansa just as Joffrey started couging, and the old lady... mom of Joffrey's wife, who it looks like grabbed a crystal off the necklace that drunk Knight gave Sansa, and then was sitting right next to Joffrey's glass of wine.
I straight-up think the Imp is innocent.
NOW.... Cercei was about to not be queen any more, right? Now Joffrey's little brother gets to be king (I think?). Cercei will remain queen regent. There's motive. And she was already in a pissy mood that day. And there is some shit going on with her no longer wanting to sex her brother. And.... most damning of all.... she is willing and capable and has killed her own children before just to be petty and spiteful. She is a monster and she has that in her. So I think she is a possibility. "Poison is a woman's weapon" was in the first episode.
AND..... who is to say the entire wine jug was not poisoned, and it was gonna be payback on a grand scale for the Red Wedding?
And maybe there was more than one poison in play, from different parties? Certainly, no one loved him and plenty had reason to hate him.
So many possibilities. Hello season 4.

I made the mistake of reading book 3 after watching season 3, when it turns out that book three is both season 3 and season 4. So I will refrain from commenting on things I already accidently know. But, I can respond to
Um, what? She hasn't killed any of her own children. She nearly lost it when they sent Myrcella off to Dorne. She was ready to give poison to Tommen to spare him from the horrible atrocities that she was expecting do be done to him if they lost the Battle of the Blackwater, but I think that says more about how much she cares for her children than her willingness to kill them. Because in this world you know that kid would be better off dead than in the hands of a vicious enemy (which usually still involves being dead, but also includes some raping and torture on the way).

I thought she aborted it well before it was born because she hated Robert so. No?
Contrary to what some say, abortion isn't exactly the same thing as murder and doesn't imply one may be able to murder live children. Plus in this case the difference in fathers is all-important to her. No matter how many children she may or may not have killed of her and Robert, I just can't see her doing anything to harm any of her children with Jamie. Those kids are the only thing in the world she cares about.

well, I said she has killed her own kids. In the tv show, if she is to be believed, she told Caitlin in Bran's bedchamber that her little "beautiful black haired boy was a fighter... he tried to fight the fever that took him..." and Robert punched the walls until his fists were bloody. In the book, she purposely aborted the thing that was certainly not a baby because we all know abortion is not murder, but one assumes it is the same situation she is talking about, for the same reason.... she didn't want Robert's child. On the TV show, she probably used the same poison on the Hand that started the whole mess that she used on her own child.TPRJones wrote:I thought she aborted it well before it was born because she hated Robert so. Of course, if you have read ahead, you may already know the truth. I don't. I'm just saying she is a monster and has a history of killing her own children when she feels like it.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
I can understand your reading of her, but I can't agree. It seems pretty fundamental to her character that she'll do or say anything for the children she's had with Jamie, up to and including killing anyone she feels threatens one of them. I think she'd be more likely to kill herself before harming one of those three.

I've never seen a single redeeming quality in her, aside from acting upset when Imp sent her daughter away. Her entire family are monsters, from the first time they took the throne and killed Targaryan babies. Cercei in the show recently had one of Robert's babies... "a babe still at her mother's breast," killed for.... not much of a good reason at all. Had an innocent dog killed because she wanted blood and wanted to watch a little girl cry over it. The only time I've seen her smile was when she was causing someone else pain. She might be the worst human being in Westeros.

"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
No arguments on those points. But I wouldn't call what I said above a redeeming quality. I don't place enough value on children.
EDIT: Actually, it may have more to do with how little value I place on motherhood in general. I admit I have some issues there. Fewer, though, since my mother died.
