I might have all the lumber covered Cake.

Stranger, you can have all the moonlight stuff I have.

I just need sunlight for the bows.

If anyone has logs get them to me and I'll turn them into lumber tonight.

I'll be on around 9-9:30

Cake, I took the meager 2 Sunlight Archeum Dust you had...really?...100 lumber (saving the other 100 for Jemm's house), and 6 combined feed for my cows.

Let's talk in chat tonight. I want to discuss someone we should be checking up on as often as possible. Found a massive hidden pine farm. I can hop over to it during lunches, Cake can cover late night, and anyone else in the evenings, maybe we'll get lucky with a TS here or there?

I was able to harvest the 10 trees from my hidden forest, so I planted 15 for this next batch. Anyone know when the pines switch to each phase? I'd like to try and be there for the beginning of each phase in case they get TS.

I told you that Taran had most of that stuff. He didn't get it out of his bank. Spent all my time last night trying to get Maydchen across the ocean for her farm. Never made it. That's why there is a house there instead of a farm. It will most likely be changed to a farm. So thank you for leaving the lumber there cause the farm will need it too.

As far as the materials, I'm not holding out on you, I'm busy!! Check again and you'll find:
1 shard
1 Crystal
18 dust
26 motes

So suck it!

Anyone know when the pines switch to each phase?

Lucky for you I just so happened to run across this page on Reddit a few mins ago:

http://petsci.co.uk/thundercheck/

This calculator works on the assumption that between each growth stage of a tree's growth cycle, there is a chance for it to become 'Thunderstruck'.

These growth stages occur between 'Small Sapling', 'Sapling', 'Young' and the mature tree. Sapling occurs at 10% of total growth time and young at 50% growth time. Trees that are grown in the correct climate are subject to a 30% reduction in growth time.

To use, simply enter the remaining growth time of a tree in the form above. From there, you will receive exact times when the tree is due to change stage and thus what time a Thunderstruck Tree might appear. For the popular Thunderstruck Tree options (the first 8 listed in the dropdown), %chance of getting a Thunderstruck Tree is also listed. Click 'Add to Calendar' to create an event and remind you to check for Thunderstruck!

Add to Calendar will download a .ics file with the start and end date being equal to the times given.

Lifetime Thunderstruck Probability is the probability of getting thunderstruck throughout the remaining life stages of all your trees based on the binomial distribution. This differs to the %chance above, which does not factor in to account previous lifestages.

Timezone support - Coming soon!

Seems like a pretty nice tool, you might like it.

Crafting is still mindbogglingly stupid.

Fucked around at lunch and bought some Weapon Regrade Scrolls because I got a blue Artificer bow last night.

It fucking charges you to attempt to regrade the item. Why? Because paying to buy or craft the scroll AND the bow wasn't enough? Not to mention that it wasn't a T1 bow, so that's even more money. What exactly are you paying for and to whom?

Anyway, fail on the first attempt. Go to do the second and accidentally grab my Conqueror's bow and succeed. WTF? Go back to the Artificer, which is supposed to be a better chance for success and two more fails. There's 100+gp down the drain in mere seconds and to what end?

Thank goodness I can earn back the 100+ gp I burned in seconds in a system designed for failure a majority of the time (that's a fact) at a rate of about 4gp an hour!

I'm just shy of broke at this point.

I tried an armor regrade last week. Spent about 15G I'm guessing on the scroll itself and another 16G for the action of regrading.. Failure... Sure felt good to blow all that gold in a matter of seconds.

On a positive note, I'm 3 Moonlight crystals away from having all the materials for a full set of Conqueror's armor. I spent much of my gold last night buying what I could find when it was selling under 15G per.

WOW.. what a deal..

So, I'm pretty much broke myself at this point.

Took two more tries for Maydchen's farm. We made it over there once only to find that the quest had been removed from her quest log somehow. So that was awesome. Final trip, the reds must have just felt bad for her because no one attacked her. We pulled up, she's running up the ramp and gets stuck on that beam and falls off the back of the stairs into the water. Swims around, back up the ramp and walks over to the vendors. Multiple reds around, no one made a move. It was quite odd. So, she was even able to turn the final pack in. We own SO much of that land over there now. We have quite the compound.

Thanks for the Moonlight Archeum Cake! I was able to craft the whole set of conqueror's leather armor this morning. I even had my jerkin upgrade to a purple during the process! but that was the only one. I still have green breeches and boots though, that's kind of a bummer.

Also I was at about 25% of the way through level 49 and by the time I got done with the set I'm now at 92%. I'll be at level 50 tonight.

I think i'll be trying to get the materials together to get Leisher to craft me the conqueror's bow next. Then on to getting the regal leather armor form so I can start crafting illustrious armors. Leisher, if you're still looking into getting some armor done let me know.

So, to actually make money fishing, it's a grind (shocking I know)

1. Get a fishing pole (bamboo is the low level, then steel, then ??)
2. Use the worms to raise your fishing level on any lake or sea (a lot of grinding here)
2. Get yellow lures from the Farmer's workstation and also get chum
3. Chum an active fish school, and then cast yellow lures into it
4. Play a Dance Dance Revolution type game when you get a trophy fish on the line
5. Your damage is figured out by your fishing skill + rod type + the DDR game

I tried this in the always spawning fish school in the lake behind our houses. Couldn't even scratch the level 50 fish with my skill + shitty rod

I see people on their clippers fishing at that nearby lake all the time.

I still can't win auctions, so hooray for auction bots.

I really need a TS tree, but neither of my two farms that can handle pines, nor my illegal tree farm, are producing them. It doesn't seem like any of my neighbors in 2C or at the illegal farming spot are having luck either. I want to build a farm cart, but honestly, I'm now thinking if I got a TS tree I'd have to wait to see what the farm wagon is all about since it takes the whole tree and not just one log. So while it'd be great to get one, it probably wouldn't mean an infusion of cash until I know what to do about that Farm Wagon.

I'm working on crafting a conqueror bow to put on the market. Currently, I can throw one together that'd be blue at worst (I have a blue Artisan), and I've seen those listed at 125. However, I also have a weapons regrade scroll. Not sure if I should try for the fifth time at 27gp a pop to make it Arcane before upgrading it twice to Conqueror. I'm discovering that you should regrade early in the process, not later. It costs less, you lose less if the bow gets destroyed, and once you get it where you want it, it'll stay that level or upgrade as you craft it into higher tier weapons.

Keep feeding me lumber. I'm about 4K away from 20k in carpentry.

Cake, remind me in game what coral you need and I'll get you some. Although, I do still want to drop my Aquafarm by the 3rd.

Apparently, Blank took down one of the massive boss monsters last night. It was all the rage in chat as people were bashing the shit out of them and calling them Zergs. I guess they also failed a run to Freelich.

I might be interested in taking the aquafarm off your hands. I'm finding out the higher I get into leatherworking I need different kinds of oils. Most of the oils that are made are of the Alchemy profession but I wouldn't mind growing and gathering some of those goods so I can get the stuff together for the oils that I will need. I remember red coral being one of the needed items.

Is there a reason you don't want the farm? are there not many things to grow? where is it located?

I've also read the same, you wanna regrade early and then you might get lucky as you craft it into higher tiers. Regrading up to heroic is the "safest". your weapon cannot be downgraded or destroyed up to this point, you only lose your money invested.

But when you go from:

Heroic > Unique - there is a chance the equipment can degrade one level. (major failure)
Unique > Celestial - there's a chance the equipment can degrade one or two levels. (major failure)
Celestial > Divine - chance for equipment to be destroyed. (catastrophic failure)
Divine > beyond - you're a real masochist and are rich and don't give a fuck about anything...

I'm actually ok with the concept of regrading, and even tempering, weapons and armor, but I do think they went about it incorrectly.

As a low level crafter, I shouldn't be bidding against rich bitches trying to go from divine upwards when I'm just trying to go from rare to arcane.

Keep the mechanics the same, but reduce the cost of the different levels. Look at how they do the charms. They have different charms for different levels. Why not the regrade scrolls too?

That way a low level crafter's attempts to upgrade from green to rare don't cost about the same as a master crafter's attempts to upgrade from divine to best weapon in the game.

Almost forgot...

Stranger you can have my aquafarm. However, I want to get it into your name so I'm not paying so much in taxes. Just come out there with me one of these nights and I'll pull it up and hand it over to you so you can set it back down. Maybe you can even scout for a closer location?

Currently, it's just off the southern coast of TC. So it's a 5 minute run down there. However, I just noticed there's another Aquafarm off the Eastern coast near that one peninsula next to the capital. I think that's a bit closer? So when you get on next, do some scouting. If you want to move it have your place picked out, and if you want to keep it in the same spot, cool.

I don't want it anymore because of the taxes, because I don't use anything from it, and because it's become a burden. I'm very much into logging, carpentry, and illegal tree farms. So heading down to do my business with the aquafarm typically is an inconvenience. It won't be for you as you'll use what you grow there.

The oils also use charcoal or salt too. When you get the stuff, please put it in the chests at the house so I can make the oil. Would love the proficiency. I also have grown all/most of the supporting plants for the ingredients.

I have started recalling the Ynystre during peace time, making their pack and bringing it back to two crowns/solz for the charcoal and salt. Easier than taking our packs over there.

When I get the aqua farm ill do that. I also noticed that them oils need charcoal and salt so I like your idea of making the trade packs over there and bringing them back, i'll be down for doing some of those runs with you. What ingredients do you need for those trade packs?

I also will be needing gilda star dust for the next level of leather armors, so doing open water trade runs will be something i'll need to be doing more of in the near future.

Diene, one of our neighbors offered her/himself and their small group is as PVP muscle if we need it for trade runs? I said I would pass it on to the people that do that.

Said to me after I whooped Tazzin's level 50 butt in a duel. I was blocking the auctioneer with my defense spell like an asshole, tho.

So, we ended up making the run to Freedlich. Guess how it ended. :-) I don't want to say for sure there was a spy, but:
There were no reds being reported on the island.
The fleet actually started landing on the south side of the island, even though the east was the designated landing zone. This was an oversight by the lead boat and the fleet was redirected to the east. Still no sign of reds.
We land and start unloading. Summon trucks and get them all filled up.
This is when the red tide started flooding in. First to go were the trucks. Oh, and when I say the red tide, there were about 30 of them. They easily cleared the beach and then started for the boats. Guild was "No Quarter". The fleet of trade ships were all being easily stolen.
At one point, the greens rallied and took the beach. Held all trade packs that had made it to land. Then the reds came back, killed us all again and took them back. Attention was turned to the fleet of trade ships.
Those were all driven out to a waiting (recently summoned because they were never on radar and our radar reaches far around the island. Covers the main and all three minor islands) Jolly Q fleet that promptly blew all the trade ships up so the trade packs could be scooped up.

In my opinion, the fleet never had a chance. Even if the reds didn't have a spy, they so far out class the greens that we run with that it doesn't take much for them to kick our asses. If just one red spots the ships, he announces in chat and a red team can be summoned quickly that can take us all out. So, really, we have no business on that island. That being said, the reds were HIGHLY organized and pulled off a MASSIVE response in very little time. There were tipped off.

My strong recommendation to GUILD is to only do runs to Ynystere. Only run their own ships. Don't include other guilds. Only do them during peace time. Watch the clock. At 20 minutes before the war ends, get all the ships and trade packs staged. At 10 minutes to peace, start the trip. Goal is to land in Ynystere just as peace starts. We want to be the first boats in the docks. We can pull in, unload, swim at our leisure, turn everything in. No risk. Yes, the reds can block paths, etc. But, with patience and discipline, everything gets turned in. We head up to the specialty station north of Hadir. Refill all the ships with packs from the east. Head to Sandeep or Cinderstone to turn in ONLY if it's peace there as well. If not, recall home, refill ships, repeat. We may only get two trips in before the market is flooded. But, it's with no loss, etc. And even if there is no peace in Cinder or Sandeep, I bet it's way easier to clear and own those docks than Freedlich or Ynyster. The west is so unorganized.

So that faction killer lost all or most of those packs? Damn shame :D
That being said, the reds were HIGHLY organized and pulled off a MASSIVE response in very little time. There were tipped off.

The reds on this server are FAR more impressive than the greens. If you guys all wanted to flip to their side, I honestly wouldn't be against it. It's made worse by the fact that they basically have ALL the map advantages.

They're just far, far more organized. Meanwhile, the green guild with the numbers and the only one getting anything done, Blank, is routinely criticized by the green population.

I saw an interesting thing on their side running around as my red noob. About 50 players were macroing at training dummies. They were shooting them with bows or up close swinging away. Any idea why they might have been doing this?

Onto other items...

I think TS trees have been drastically reduced. I have spent the last 1-2 weeks planting nothing but pines in my farms and in "illegal" spots and turned up nothing. Also, ALL of my neighbors are growing nothing but pines, and I've scoured hundreds of pines in other illegal farms. Nothing.

If anyone gets lucky enough to get one, sit on it. Do NOT sell that thing or break it up until the Farm Wagon hits in the big patch on the 4th. I have a feeling the price of trees are going to spike. Not logs, the trees.

Here's a fun reddit detailing how many ways people are cheating or being unethical in the game. I know they're working hard to get people now, but they're actively attacking bots and spammers. Big deal. I think they reacted so slowly to the cheaters that the economy might already be fucked beyond fixing.

Ok, we've got to get Hasla weapons and the armor given by quests started in the East PvP regions. I've been reading up on this stuff and apparently, Hasla weapons are tier 8 while a master crafter can make tier 9. The armor from the end game quests are tier 7, which a master crafter can make tier 8. So we either grind Hasla or grind crafting. Which sounds easier and cheaper? Our meager weapons are part of the reason the reds kick our ass in encounters. The Hasla bow hits for 100 more damage than my arcane conqueror bow...

We don't even need to "grind" it out either. The quests are self explanatory and actually occur in the region near Hasla, still on the East side of the map. At least, that's what I've been told. Also, we can all do those on our own. The weapon tokens however are easier to achieve and would take us, as a group, about 20 minutes of work whenever conditions are right.

Here's what we do:
We set a party lineup of who will get the call to go once conditions are right. There will be other raids there and we can join with them, if offered, and increase our rolls, but lower our chance of winning them OR we can stick with our own group of 6-8 people and either random roll (everyone rolls everything) or roll for specific items only. This is the tactic a lot of groups take. It's what the random group I joined during lunch yesterday did.

So there were 7 of us total I think and each person called out the token they wanted. I'm primarily an archer, so I wanted Courage. Nobody argued about their token at all. It was great. We then focused a single monster at a time and took them down fast. Each time a monster dropped, someone else would step up and aggro another. The key is one monster at a time!!! These things will fuck you up fast. Having stuns is very effective. Once they die, someone picks up their treasure. Each person then rolls for the Jester coin purse, but only rolls for the token they called. So when Courage tokens were showing up, I was the only person rolling. Everyone else passed. Nobody was fucking each other over. We don't have to do that as we probably all want more than one Hasla item (I, for example, want the bow, 2 of the 1H sword, and the lute). So we could go random and each person can just back off once they've achieved their goal?

(There might be three levels to Hasla items...)

So quite the grind at 1 token per monster kill right? Well, here's where things get quicker. At 6 p.m. game time each day a massive mob spawns in Hasla and the bigger of the monsters drop 20 tokens of a specific flavor.

The spawn starts with small scorpions who aggro easily and will attack if their buddy is attacked, so pick off the loners. They only give 1 token. They spawn 2-4 times. Then giant scorpions start spawning with them. I don't know what they drop, but I'm betting it's more than 1. Then all the scorpions are removed and these fat giant guys spawn. This is where we need to be focused and quick. These big bastards drop 20 tokens. Once that wave is gone, we should pack up and go home.

Doing this during peace time means we can completely ignore all other players and just focus as a group.
