What websites do you hit on a day to day basis, besides this one, specifically for entertainment and leisure? (Skip the news, sports, etc.)

For example, when I launch my "personal" browser at the office, I see tabs for:
dtman
google
espn
facebook
twitter

During the day I'll hit other sites like latinoreview, newsarama, penny-arcade, leasticoulddo, io9, ctrlaltdel, etc.

My second browser, the "business only one" as it's IE, starts up with msn, dell, and microsoft.

Just curious what places many of you hit daily.

I push everything through rss into my own custom rss reader site. So other than here and yahoo mail, I mostly spend my day at rss.tprjones.com.

As to what I gt through there, that would be a very very long list. Mostly youtube and webcomics.

What's the absolute best site for gaming news?

TPR, what webcomics do you follow? Or I should say, what are the top 5 for consistently being funny?

Nah, it's password protected anyway. Only thing publicly visible is at the root tprjones.com which has the last 10 items I marked for sharing publicly.

As to a top 5 webcomics that is hard. I currently follow 109 webcomics, and if I had to pick my top 5 I'd go with:

xkcd
SMBC
Questionable Content
Schlock Mercenary
Penny Arcade
Goblins
Leftover Soup
Wapsi Square

Damnit, that's eight. Oh, well, close enough.

I think your password protection sucks, or I guess it without having to enter it. Or maybe spirits entered it for me.

I can see all the things on the left-hand navigation pane, with Blogs (53 unread), and a lot of blogs listed under that, NSFW, Comics, Image Feeds, Read First, Videos, etc...

I'm curious to explore, but dont want to mess up your stuff :)

Huh. Well, I guess I should fix that. :) Thanks!

I guess if you see about 632 unread then clicking on things would cause them to be marked "read". If the number is much huger, then we're on different sessions or something. But that's unlikely.

Yeah, seeing the same.

I did notice all the NSFW ones had 0 unread.

Heh, yeah. I don't read those at work, and I tend not to read the rest at home. That's why there are so many unread, I'm catching up from Winter Break.

I'd be happy to give you access for awhile if you promise to be careful to Mark as Unread anything that gets marked as Read. I just don't want to miss anything. :)

I would leave no trace. :)

As I listed above, I only look at a few websites each day, this may gave me some new stuff to look at/read.

That was the point of this thread.

I eat lunch at my desk four days a week, and if it's a slow day around here, outside football season, and the middle of the week, the internet gets boring.

Cool. Username is the same as the one you use here, password is the name of Leisher's secret lover. When you've had your fill let me know and I'll disable it again.

It doesn't mark read automatically by seeing something in the right-hand panel. It takes a click on an entry or it's title to make it mark read. You can tell because the title will go from bold to not-bold. To mark something back as unread just make sure the box is checked next to the title and pick Mark as Unread from the lowest drop-down box just above the reading pane.

It's actually a toggle. It's a little clunky in that if you happen to have a previously checked box still checked, next time you add a check and do the mark as unread thing to another entry it will flip the entries, marking the newly checked one to unread while also marking the previously checked and marked unread one back to read. So be sure to uncheck the box after marking as unread to avoid accidently flipping it back later on.

If a few get wrongly marked it's no big deal. I'm so far behind I should skip a few entries to catch up anyway. Just don't tell me about it so I won't feel like I'm missing something. :p

As to what you'll find in the feeds, in my defense I didn't used to be very picky as to what I've added. I've gotten rid of some as I went along, but some of the ones that update rarely but aren't very good may still be there.

What's troubling is how you found out about me and ScarJo.

Tell your dickhead network admin to unblock netflix.

Why would I block Netflix? I've sat here and watched many shows. However, I get bored just sitting there watching a show. I want to surf the web or play a game too. Plus, content issues can cause problems in the winter when I have to turn the volume up to drown out the heating unit or the generator that cycles once a day as both are right behind my paper thin walls.

"every gay guy ever" is not working as the password

If that were true, I'd be banging you. We both know that if I was gay, I could do better.
