Some Starbucks thing...
If anyone runs through the various songs, let me know if you hit something that's decent. The GWAR one was interesting, but it's GWAR. I checked out Memoryhouse doing the Police, and I thought their version sucked. Too slow, and the chick's voice seems limited. She should be covering 99 Luft Balloons.
GWAR covers Kansas
GWAR was ok. I liked the contempt they had for the source material.
They Might Be Giants... I am surprised they got the entire 47 members of the band in the little room.
The Michael Jackson cover... it was ok.
Memoryhouse doing the Police... I thought the were on the verge of falling asleep, but that does seem representative of what I have heard of the "Post Rock" genre of music. And this current young generation, in general.

Edit:
That wasn't the band, that was Onion staffers they dragged into the room to sing along.

The two Johns were the initial members. They didn't get a proper band til the early '90s or so.TPRJones wrote:John and John are the core. Those were the guys on the mics. They do have a few others in the band, though they are a bit more interchangeable. Basically everyone you saw on instruments.

One of the last clever things David Letterman ever said, about 20 years ago, was, "And our musical guest tonight is They Might Be Giants...
