nerds reverse engineer SSN assignments

I really thought everyone already knew this. I remember discussing SSN algorithms 20 years ago based on this.

The first 3 digits is the designation of the office that processed your SSN application, usually one near where you live. I bet the middle 2 have some similar designation.
