A few computers have come in with VX2. Some have been a sumbitch to get rid of. This last one was the worst of all.
Ad-Aware has a VX2 patch, which specifically targets VX2. However, VX2 is too freaking smart for it. It keeps renaming itself when scanned, and when the computer shuts down.
I found the fix here. It involves unplugging the computer, so that VX2 doesn't reinvent itself during the computer's shutdown process. I never considered a cold shutdown a good thing until today.
