Someone diagram for me where everything goes. Cable Modem/Wireless Router/Linux Box/clients/etc.

Cable Modem-------Linux Firewall-----switch (wireless or not)

Linux box has two NICs. One for the cable modem/external Network. One for the internal switch/Network. Your Linux routing stuff will be between the two internal NICs on the Linux box. Unless you are doing forwarding. Then it's from the external to a client.

Ah yes, my setup assumes you will be routing with the firewall via IP Masquerade.
