January 13. Was backing it up every week like clockwork, then I got busy, skipped 2 weeks, and BAM.

I haven't had any problems with their MySQL interfacing with php. But I'm by no means an expert.

Used their unix hosting for filespace only. Used their ASP/ASP.Net hosting for DBs

I generally like 1&1. They are OK, at best, technically, a bit slow on support but up a lot.
