Bomb-bomb-bomb, Bomb-bomb Iran....
Even if you find a quote supporting that claim, there's no way you'll ever convince me that Bush's talking to god quote is even 1% as zealous the Ayatollah's. There's "not the brightest bulb" & then there's "completely, totally, utterly batshit insane to the nth degree."

Bush scares me less than the Ayatollah. At least he doesn't explain spending increases like Pat Roberts explains why his followers need to give him more money.

Bush is limited by having to deal with the American public. It would not surprise me in the least that if he didn't have to worry about Congress, the media, or public opinion then he'd be just as publically nutty. As it is he's just quietly nutty in private with his fellow crazy people.

Anyway, let's put TPR's insider knowledge of the Bush White House aside, for now...
I am not a WAR FOR THE SAKE OF WAR guy, but I'm a guy who believes that war is sometimes justified, if not righteous.
I can see both sides of this argument. Leaving Iran alone would be optimal, as long as they don't do anything crazy with their Plutonium. Now, can someone guarantee me that this will be the case?
It might be MY town that gets nuked.
Unlike some, I have a strong survival instinct. I'm the type to take death threats seriously, and move toward preemptive strike. I'm not suicidal, and I have no reason to believe I'd live after "We only fire if fired upon." That's a suicide pact, when it comes to nukes.
But.... that seems to be line a lot of "peace at all costs" people take. "Hey, if they nuke a city, then we'll be fully justified in attacking them. So let them do what they want."
Call me a nut, but some might say it is a bad thing to allow a crazy person to have the means to nuke a city, no matter how crazy they insist they aren't.

Nah, it's mostly from when he was governor. I remember there were a few speeches where he claimed that Jesus came to him and told him we had to do something or other. I don't remember detials, though.
The man hears voices. Admittedly that's not uncommon around these parts. Soem of my coworkers also claim Jesus talks to them, literally, like with words and stuff.
Doesn't make 'em any less crazy just because it's Jesus instead of Allah.
EDIT: That having been said, this is not an attempt to derail. More on topic, I don't like the idea of Iran having nukes, either.

Well that's just crazy talk.
The only thing I know about his time as governor was when he flipped off a camera when he was about to go on the air or something.
And I guess he was still governor when he said, "That guy is a major league asshole" while campaigning.

Man, then I'd get that phat Red Cross money, like the 9/11 widows.
It's not me, it's someone else.
I'm sure they're all just exaggerating! Let them have their cute little nuke program.

The demonstrations for "Al-Quds Day" - Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem - also spilled over into anti-American protests because of US support for Israel.
In the capital Teheran, hundreds of thousands of people poured into the streets as they chanted "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." Some protesters also burned American and Israeli flags.

Another sign that they just aren't interested in peace.

"When the Palestinians see this is as a deception, everybody has to see it as a deception. This U.S. initiative is an effort to save the Zionists," Khamenei said.
Iran doesn't recognize Israel and wants the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. Khamenei, who has the final say on all state matters in Iran, has repeatedly called Israel in the past a "cancerous tumor" that need to be removed from the Middle East.
Yep, Bush sure was crazy when he included Iran in his "Axis of Evil".
