Sherrone Moore was detained by police in Saline, Michigan, on Wednesday and was later turned over to a second area police department for investigation into potential charges, the Saline Police Department stated.
"The City of Saline Police Department assisted in locating and detaining former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore," the department said in a statement released to ESPN. "Mr. Moore was turned over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for investigation into potential charges."
The University of Michigan fired Moore as its head football coach earlier Wednesday following an investigation into Moore's conduct with a staff member.
"U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately," the school said in a statement. "Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
The coaching carousel is largely closed. Most good targets are gone. But, Michigan money might change someone's mind.
I've already seen Bama fans hoping DeBoer leaves and then they want to steal Kiffin.
BTW, the Moore situation is getting ugly. He's married, was having an affair, broke into the affair partner's home, threatened suicide, and threatened her life. I do not blame the school for firing him immediately with cause.

Damn. I figured this was something they were blowing out of proportion so they could get out of paying some part of his contract with the show cause.

Definitely some cause here.

My wife's TikTok this morning is saying he Door Dashed plan B to his office, then drove with it to the GF's house.
Even if he does no jail time, his career has to be over, right? Would even a high school hire him at this point?
With nothing to lose, I hope he writes a tell all about everything that went on with the cheating.

In all honesty, this situation is so ugly, it's kind of taken the fun out of the rivalry for the moment.
Although, come next season, the jokes will be great.
Tragedy+Time=Comedy

Bill was never an offensive coach. He had McDaniels for that. If he's staying, he needs to go hire a young OC at some lower level school that's having phenomenal offensive success.
Kitchens probably heads down another level or two to HC there. Maybe even High School.

I'm sure this isn't all for show and no a waste of money...
They're the butt of jokes for every other fanbase in college football. If they really wanted respectability, they'd self-vacate wins from their cheating years (doesn't have to include the championship year where they do have some deniability), and clean house. Fire the AD and every coach in the football program. Start over.
