the response. i mean, my ancestors came over, so they are awesome. I feel like it's really a distinctive different between Europe and the US.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I was just checking and agree.
People have talked shit about places they aren't in since the dawn of time and it'll continue until the last two humans.

Credit where it's due...when it comes to consumer protection the EU is light years ahead of the US.
The EU is reportedly about to pass the Digital Fairness Act. This will apparently cripple microtransactions in gaming. So much so that the big players are speaking out and trying to fight this act.
If your game cannot survive without microtransactions, then it shouldn't exist. That's not opinion, that's Capitalism.
Honestly, the extinction of microtransactions would be a massive, massive win for gamers.
Here's a good breakdown of what's happening and who's being really sleazy in trying to fight it. Oh, and in the description are a dozen or so links about the whole thing.

I completely understand your hesitation, but microtransactions...in a certain form...should 100% be banned.
This'll be easy if I start with saying, microtransactions for cosmetics are fine and should NOT be banned.
However, all other microtransactions should be banned OR should be held to very firm rules of total transparency and zero gambling. Oh, and there needs to be MFA installed to prevent minors from making purchases, which is a major factor in why this was being reviewed in the first place.
Plus, microtransactions play a bit too well into fraud. For example: It wouldn't be difficult for these companies to add in some wrinkles to the RNG to ensure you're constantly in situations where you're out of some resources, moves, etc. that would encourage spending real world money.

Yeah, I'd wager a lot of money that's the case, and that's why those types of games shouldn't be allowed to have MTs.
