I talked to Leisher briefly about this game yesterday. Being at work i can't seem to link the Steam page, but i found this Youtube release trailer for it. It's currently in free open beta this week and ends on Sunday. Full release is something like July 22.

The premise is 5 teams of 4 players in a PvPvE FPS/spaceship battle. Each game starts with teams dropped into the map looking to find gun and ship upgrades usually by finding points of interests that will have PvE elements. Eventually you will run into other ships and PvP commences. You can board enemy ships and shoot em up or steal guns, shields or other upgrades to take back to your own ship. You win by being the last ship standing or by finding the artifact and after a time the Wildgate will open and take your ship through it.

Looks like this game is more strategy than twitchy gun play that wins the games. And games last no longer than 30 mins i think. Could be a fun game with a group of friends but probably not so much if you're playing solo and getting put into game with randos, i could see that being really toxic. Obviously, teamwork and chat are almost a must for this game. if i get time to game this weekend i'll probably give it a shot for the open beta.
