As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I misread that as Endor at first...

The show's ok. It's Star Wars, but it's a heist/"government is massive and corrupt" movie, first. Better than the boba fett show.

I always think of this show as "And/Or."

Oh, I thought it was done when the heist was done. You can never tell any more how many episodes a show would have. I look and then BAM another 2 queued up.

This show feels like grownup star wars. No jedi, no sith, just people getting sick of an evil government. It's almost jarring when they mention something you recognize like "Palpatine."

There's at least one gifted writer on this show. Skaarsgard gives a "What have I sacrificed?" monologue that was inspired.

And it has basically no audience thanks to Kathleen Kennedy's mismanaging of the franchise. That's why Disney has made it available on Hulu, ABC, and elsewhere. They're desperate to win back Star Wars fans.

Call me crazy, but they could try apologizing for the way they negatively attacked the fans over the new trilogy, wipe it from canon, and remove Kathleen Kennedy. That would certainly win back some fans. As it stands too many former SW fans feel like Disney told them "we don't want you as fans", so they left. Kennedy might be an exceptional producer, but she sucks as the decision maker for a studio.

I'm pretty sure the last 5 years of popular culture have been telling the people who supported the previous 40 years of it how bad they are. Doesn't seem like a good strategy, but we'll see if it pays off for them.

They released up to season 2, episode 9. Disney doing it in 3 episode batches, 7-9 tonight, one batch left in the entire series. (Only two season worth of content until we catch up to Rogue One)

Have been watching w/ the $10.99 w/ ads pack. Annoying but worth it, good deal.

This season has been great, way better than it should be. Maybe it’s the time limit? They know it has to end.

Episode 9 was up there with the best Star Wars media I've seen. It was like a high octane Bourne movie. Also, brutal.

This might be the only Star Wars that I'm remotely interested in anymore, and it's because so many people are raving about it.

A rare body of work that changes how you view previously made content in the universe.

Makes better:
Rogue One (perfectly transitions fom Andor's end to R1, like a matter of hours)
ANH

Makes worse:
Ashoka
Mandalorian
Obi (These 3 shows because they are all live action, and all trash compared to Andor, I tried for a few eps of each)
Eps 7-9 (so, in the negative territory, Andor was possible, SO WTF WERE YOU DOING?!)

I've heard good things.

Eps 7-9 weren't remarkable. Never watched the other 3 (Ashoka, Mandalorian, or Obi).

So I'll put this on the list. Rogue One was the only other movie I count as a Star Wars movie other than the first 3.

So funny. Vader literally sees the blockade runner fly away from Scariff, detects his own daughter with the force surely, and kills hallway after hallway of rebels before getting to this point, and then rightfully gets super pissed when Leia is like "nu-uh that's not me, I'm a diplomat, I didn't do nothing"

Explains why he's like YOU'RE A REBEL, STFU!

Unrealistic? No. Watch exactly 1 episode of any real life police show. It's the same thought process.

TIL that Andor is also a character in Rogue One.

I feel like it's not my fault since the names are so un-memorable and also stupid. At least the "Luke Skywalker" has some rizz.

Anakin is a really good name that Lucas made up, too.

How would you get a last name like Skywalker anyway? Would that be a NEW last name in a space age? Get really good at flying and switch your boring terrestrial last name to something spacey and badass?

I'd assume as a society we'd just keep carrying profession type last names into space like Smith, Taylor, Baker, etc.
