We're pretty like minded.

I'm skeptical of some of the questions and how they altered your results.

What the hell did you guys answer for the incest question? I put "No opinion".

The question:
44. Certain activities are so disgusting that they are deeply immoral even if completely consensual, physically harmless, and done privately
(Ex: Incest between two consenting adult twin siblings, both of whom are using proper protection)
I put "Disagree" since I can't quite Strongly Disagree with that. There's a few things that are just too far.

You're really high on purity. That was unexpected, imho.

Especially since I answered "Strong Disagree" to this:
There is no end goal noble enough, and no circumstance desperate enough to ever justify directly sacrificing the lives of unwilling innocents.
And "Disagree" to this:
Certain punishments are so cruel and violent, that even the most evil and dangerous individuals do not deserve them.
It's the main reason I'm skeptical. I think I got purity higher due to looking too far into questions. For example:
Sexual activity outside of monogamous romantic relationships should be heavily discouraged.
I put Slightly Agree, but reading it again, I should have answered "Disagree" because of the word "heavily". I answered the way I did because while I think people should do whatever makes them happy, I think our current society is encouraging women to be whores and now we're getting stuck with loads of lonely, bitter, single middle aged women who have been run through and can't figure out why nobody wants them.

At 51, I'd date a porn star. I don't give a fuck. In my 20s, when starting a family and looking for mom/wife material, Riley Reed, wouldn't make the list.

Notice they put "using proper protection" in the question? That was the key to me being unable to pick a side. I know of a first cousin duo who married and one of their kids is very messed up. In a way that nobody really knows if they're aware of anything at all. No vocalization, no eye contact, no motor skills, and so on.

If you allow people to fuck, there's always the chance of pregnancy, or worse, marriage. People can't just fuck without emotional connections being made...obviously there are exceptions, but generally.

I strongly agreed with that. There was a Star Trek:SNW episode where they found a civilization that was super advanced, enlightened, and peaceful.... and for reasons, they had to torture/sacrifice one small child about every 25 years.

That's bullshit, and Captain Pike agreed with me. No matter how great their society was, it was built on child murder. Even if it was just one, now and again.

One child murder is too many, no matter how noble the goal.

Have you met any?

I think you might be getting stuck on the noble part. I focused on the circumstance desperate enough part.

This alone proves I am right to be skeptical of the test because "noble" and "circumstance desperate" are two vastly different things.

If just noble was the factor, I would be on your side and Strongly Agree.

However, imagine a scenario like 28 Days Later. Had they simply nuked England, the zombie virus would never have spread. They would have saved the world. Instead the infected finally got out and the world burned.

If you don't like that example, then feel free to noble your way through the Trolley Problem.

At some level, I'd sacrifice an innocent adult. But I don't know where that level is.

The trolley problem is easy if you're violent enough to derail the trolley.

No, that's why I said "Agree" instead of "Strongly Agree"
