As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Some cheesy moments, but overall, well done. Really well done. There's so many subtle nuances in the story telling.

Since you quoted me above, I'll respond.

Haven't seen any other seasons. At least I'm pretty confident I didn't see season 2...I think.

I have heard by S4 you start getting annoyed with the Russos.

Is that helpful? :D

S1 was awesome enough I doubted it could keep up.

Ralph is 17 years older than his wife.

Zabka is 19 years older than the hispanic lady I assume will be his love interest. 18 years older than his ex-wife.

What's Gordon bitching about?

Also, kinda implies that these women were really young when they had their first kid.

Sure, unicorns are out there. If you see one you throw a net over it and then you own it.

Easier to attract them if you're rich.

Meh. Just market observation. From a pussy.

You've never seen a couple out in public, she's young and hot, he's old and chunky and has 5 rings on his fingers, and thought, "He's definitely rich?"

It's a shame Ralph Macchio is such a bad actor. Also, Sam got fat.

Also, it's weird to me when they cast kids shorter than their parents, and then they never grow taller because they're already 20+ years old.

Elisabeth Shue is still pretty hot, especially for being 11 years old than me.

Miguel got fat too, wtf? Although the other Larusso kid got unfat, so Gordon would approve.

S3 had a nice finish, and carried out the thing I thought would happen in S2.

The breezy quick S1 episodes got Netflixd to be longer, drawn out and more repetitive. S2 + S3 had some sloggy moments. And they can quick rehashing the same bullshit.

Season 4 rehashes a bunch of bullshit. It just feels like S2+S3, but a little different, with only a little bit of newness, mostly held for the final episode.

But it got me through 10 hours of biking this week, so there's that.

When I was in 3rd grade, I wrote a "book" about 4th graders rushing into our classroom and kidnapping our teacher. And then we rallied the 3rd grade to go fight the 4th graders in a big fight and got her back.

That's Season 5 in a nutshell.

Ralph Maccio is such a bad actor.

But it worked so well in My Cousin Vinny.

GORDON wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 10:24 am Show was good. I watched it way faster than I had intended to... like 3 sit-downs.

Very much respects the core material, but gives Johnny's perspective of things... and even then, the people with the different perspective are portrayed as flawed, without complete understanding. Good stuff.

Probably warrants a spoiler discussion thread, when peeps get around to it.
I only watched season 1 back then, I just started a rewatch. Have forgotten 80% of it so it's mostly new. I keep thinking to myself "Don't be a dick, Daniel-san."

I had forgotten how much of the message of this show is "Stop being a pussy and stand up like a man."

I'm on the final season, watch it while working out. And way too much of it is repetitive crap.

This show is a criticism of what happens in a society when you raise boys, like girls.

At least season 1 is. Still in it.

Now that I think about it, Daniel-san's problems in the original movie stemmed a lot from he was coming up without a father, and Mr. Miyagi was a substitute one and helped him grow up and stop being a pussy.

Every study ever done has proven that kids need a father in the home or they become statistically likely to fall prey to dumb shit like drugs, crime, OF, etc.
