We have a situation here where a person was just promoted. They were given an 11% raise three months ago, but some dipshit made it policy so that anyone promoted doesn't get COLA the same year. So they were promoted and got less of a raise that the rest of the company. Oof... To his credit, the new company president thinks it's a dumb policy and wants it gone. He also wants to get this person the COLA.

I can relate to the "always cloudy during astronomical phenomenon" thing. Almost every eclipse, overcast. A couple years ago when Neowise comet was in the sky, my kid and I were actually at Arches, a "black sky park." The comet would be near the northern horizon. Every single night, clear sky up above, and overcast on the northern horizon. 4 nights in a row. I don't think the individual clouds even moved It's like the "atmosphere_subroutine" was locked up in the simulation.
