The Walking Dead - Graphic Novels

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I love zombies.

Thus, when I saw this on the shelf of my local retailer I picked it up and took a gander inside. What I saw was all black and white artwork about a world overrun with zombies. Cool!

I got it home and read the foreword...uh oh...the writer is a big George Romero fan and loves the "messages" in his movies. Well, that didn't do much to get me excited about reading the book because Romero's an idiot when it comes to world politics.

Still, I read on.

I'm glad I did. This book and the sequels are kick ass. Thus far, there hasn't been any sort of political message that has been too apparent, but maybe I'm just too enthralled with the roller coaster story. If there is a message here, I'm not sure it's one Romero would approve.

LOTS of violence. LOTS of drama.

Right now I have to say this is a must for zombie fans, survival horror fans, and fans of good stories with lots of characterization.

4 volumes are out, and I heard the 5th should be hitting soon. The volumes are released AFTER the comics they compile are released. There's one more that needs to be released before volume 5 hits shelves.
