Not really. There were a couple times when everybody was going apeshit over this situation or that and he came out and called for level heads. It was a couple years ago.

He has a bunch of his writings on his facebook page.... he never comes out (that I have seen) and said HEY I AM A REPUBLICAN, but his writings are decidedly less than liberal, in my opinion.

PARTY TIP: Party how you want, and let everyone else party how they want.

That statement could go either way... to me it sounds anti-hippie since I believe a liberals favorite word is "control." But I guess it could also be a metaphor for gay marriage, and lots of other things.

Anyway, the first time he surprised everyone with a thoughtful essay a few years ago, he got a lot of flack because it wasn't progressive enough.

I was behind and a bit downstage left of Andrew during that mob. The hand you see on his shoulder in the first 10s might be me. I was wearing a bluish "Planet Express" shirt that was almost navy with sweat by the end.

I had half a dozen chicks standing around me on the floor. The stage crowd is a bit gender biased because of the pit that existed for 90 minutes prior. You had to be in the first few rows in front to get on stage, so you had to survive the mosh.
