Apparently Bush is Still Like Hitler, Some Places
I heard bits on the radio this afternoon.
Teachers should be teaching facts, not opinions. It really is as simple as that.

“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”

On one hand, he's an absolute fucking idiot. On the other hand, he's free to express his opinions...but not in a fucking class that should be talking about plateaus and aquifers. That's the picture I saw on Fox News (tv). They also said he was a "self-described rastafarian."

It's not about wasting time, it's about the fact that the law requires those kids to be there and sit through whatever he's going to say. If the law requires they be there, then the state should ensure that they aren't brainwashed in the process.

The teacher was on the Today Show, this morning.
1. He cut all is hair off to appear less hippy-like.
2, I expected Matt Lauer to slam him, but he didn't, really. The teacher said the entire Hitler statement was taken out of context. Matt played an extended clip of the statement, for context. Teacher said that he didn't necessarily believe what he was saying, he just wanted the kids to think about it.
I felt the hitler statement was one of the tamer things about that lecture, personally. I was hoping Matt would ask him if the guy really thought Iran should have a right to drop "chemical weapons" on North Carolina. Like he said in his lecture.

I finally listened to the clip. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the commune.
So is he a geography teacher or a social studies teacher. On the Today show he said he was a social studies teacher. That interview was a fucking joke.
I'd like to know where he got his facts. He says the US is the most violent countries. How about China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea? He's talking about countries doing a pre-emptive strike, one of the countries he mentions is North Korea invading South Korea. They already did that.
Where the hell is he getting this information? He's making this up as he goes along. I hope they are watching him. He is spouting terrorist retoric.
