What is the coolest moment ev4r from Star Trek: The Next Generation?
I'll just win this thread right now:
Part 2 of "The Best of Both Worlds," the one where Picard is captured and turned into a Borg. Part 1 was a season-end cliffhanger, showing Riker firing the new superweapon at the Borg ship... and Picard. Nobody can say "Fire" like Riker.
But in part 2, after Picard deStroys half the star fleet at Wolf 359, the lonely Enterprise with Riker as captain stages an impossible snatch and grab operation in the Borg ship... his team gets in, snatches Borgified Picard, and brings him back to the Enterprise.
The absolute FUCK YOU, FUCKERS look of smugness on Riker's face after they get Picard.... I think is the coolest ST:TNG moment.

Oh.., there was also that cool moment in series finale "All Good Things" when the future-Picard is on Beverly's medical ship getting attacked by Klingons... and THE ENTERPRISE decloaks with its 3 nacelles and super phaser and start swiss-cheesing Klingon batle cruisers.
That was pretty cool.

I've always been a fan of character driven storylines, and while every moment mentioned thus far were good moments, I always enjoy the moment when the military strategist realized just how badly he had underestimated Ryker in the war games.

As to cool moments, I always rather liked when Stewert (as Picard, of course) went into full Shakespeare mode while facing down the Pherengi that one time. It was an odd thing to see.

I've always thought that. . . so not sure what age has to do with it.
I like BSG because it's one big long story that continues each week. I don't like ST because it's a new story each and every week. Plus, it's just gay.
So really, it's not about being too kewl for ST, it's that ST is gay. I think that's what it is.
Once there was an episode where these aliens were always like "Hey, everything is gay and sucks" but then it turned out the aliens were all gay so they had a big gay orgy and then killed themselves.
