Sandman - series on Netflix

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

1. I have no knowledge of source material, though I am told it is beloved.

2. It's pretty good. The young guy playing Dream should receive some sort of acting recognition. He feels eternal

3. I'm 5 episodes in. So far about 8 of the 10 speaking rolls are gay people. Heavy woke, yo.

Another episode.

It's good. They give characters time to breathe, and have a back story.

Three more gay characters, one famous character gender swapped.

We just watched ep 8.

My kid pointed out, "There have only been two straight white males in this show, and both were over-the-top evil."

I almost forgot the two androgynous characters. The woman with the deep male smoker voice is especially jarring.

Ooo, they snuck in another episode of the show, a couple short side-stories to the main story that has concluded.

In both of them, the straight-white-males are evil as fuck.

Interesting side note: in one of them the straight-white-male demands his production company hire over 50% women and people of color, not because they're good but because that's what people expect. Interesting self-criticism.
