Antlers (2021)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Antlers (2021)

Post by Leisher »

Horror movie about Mother Nature basically "fighting back". The words at the open describing this is the only climate messaging in the film.

Everything else is just a lot of Keri Russell remaining hot, creepy kid #1 being creepy (My wife walked in on a pause featuring him and she said, "Whoa that's a creepy kid" and he's a good guy!), loads of dark shots, and the slow build towards revealing the monster. (Hint: It's a popular monster from Native American lore and one that Wolverine has fought a lot...not on film though.)

Shoutout for Graham Greene making an appearance. Jesse Plemons is in this and he still could pass for Matt Damon's brother or even Matt Damon depending on the role.

It's a very solid film with good effects, acting, and direction. However, it's a bit unmemorable.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
